Hi everyone!
Donna H--happy belated anniversary! It sounds like you are having a good week celebrating. Enjoy! Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts is very good. It is her stand alone book for this year and is long. The book is large and heavy. I don't mind the length but the book does tend to be hard to hold at times. It sounds like your ddil's surgery was a success but she does have a long recovery. Hope she continues to improve.
We are doing ok here at our house except for the allergies which are bad this year. The weather has been pretty nice but still is cold at night. My dental work continues. I had the bridge checked yesterday. He did some work on my bite and now it feels better and more natural. In two weeks he will do the work on the bottom teeth--two need crowns and one just a filling. Hopefully that will all got well and I will be finished for a while. Looking forward to that day!
I read Murder on Gramercy Park by Victoria Thompson, one of her Gaslight Mysteries. It was good. The mystery was a little lame but the relationship between her two main characters continues to develop. I am now reading an older one of Karen Rose's books--Have You Seen Her? It is very good so far. I really enjoy her books but had not read one for a while. I am trying to not order any books from the library and just work on tbr books. I read a bunch from the lib. recently and they were good but kept me from the tbr.
We have Lauren's dance recital this weekend and that should be fun. That is Sat. and we will also celebrate Mother's day with a bbq that day. I baked two kinds of cookies today to take.
I hope everyone is well and will hopefully stop in here to say hello. In case I don't get back before Mother's day have a good one.
Mary
