I'm glad we're all in favor of keeping this blog open. Even though we don't post very often, it's still nice to connect when we can.
Holy Cow, Mary!!!! Losing 22 pounds is fantastic!!! And yes, losing any amount of weight will result in lower blood glucose and pressure. Good for you!
I lost 20 lbs last summer, and the results were the same as you, but I couldn't sustain it, and gained them all back again from last Christmas till now. I think you just encouraged me to get off my @$$ and get going again. I've got about the same lbs as you to lose. I think the reason I gained them back is that I lost them too fast. I'm going to try losing them a little slower and see if it doesn't make a difference.
Amanda, Belated Anniversary Congrats! What a great gift from Aurora! She's better than some arrangers I've seen who call themselves pros.
"Recreating Amelia" - what imprint is it? Would I be able to find it at eHarl? I still go there once a month to order my books. I find it much easier to have them come in the mail than to go out to stores and look for them. But they did another update a month or so ago, and it's even harder now to find where you want to go. Plus you have to find and enter a code each Friday if you want the free book feature. What a pain!
The pictures you posted are great! You'll give DonnaM a run for her money. . . {;-)
Sandi, oh my gosh! I don't think I could handle days like that any more. No wonder you don't get here very often. I'm really sorry the issues with your boys haven't been worked out yet. Hopefully it won't be much longer.
I'm 66 and I'm going to be a great-grandma in March. My youngest son's step-son's fiancee is pregnant. They moved their wedding date up from next July to Nov. 9th. I also had to alter the dresses for 2 of her attendants (2 of my granddaughters). And spent a day helping my ddil make perogies.
So yeah, my life is as crazy as everyone else's. Oh yea, I almost forgot. I'm still painting that mural on my granddaughter's bedroom wall. The horse finally has color, but there's lots and lots of detailing yet to finish. Maybe by this Christmas???
DonnaH waves as she heads out the door. . . {;-)
