Well, what do you know, I do believe it's going to work this time. I've come here half a dozen times in the last couple of days, and could never post anything but a title.
I finished reading "Count to Ten" by Karen Rose. It was sort of "horror" but more "blood and gore" I thought. The back of the book had a preview of the next book by Karen Rose called "Die for Me". After I read the preview I crossed the title off my list. That preview "showed" a man taping people while he tortured them to make them scream until they died. That was it for me.
I also just finished "On the Prowl" by Karen MacInerney. Now THAT was more what I consider horror. The first book in this trilogy was about an Urban Werewolf, and was almost a comedy, and I enjoyed it. The second book, "On the Prowl" was about the same urban werewolf, but was very "dark". Fights with satanic creatures, werewolf packs killing each other, things like that. I really didn't care for it at all. The third one in this trilogy is "Leader of the Pack" and continues with the urban werewolf's life. I'm really thinking hard about whether I should read it or not.
Right now I'm reading "Suspect" by Jasmine Cresswell. The first book in this miniseries is called "Missing" It's about the same family. These books are more along the lines of murder-mysteries, and are almost "light" after the ones by the two Karens. . .
Thank you for wishing good weather for us for the funeral. I went shopping with my daughter today to buy her an outfit for the funeral. She broke down in the dressing room and cried. She's the grandchild that was closest to Oma, as well as being the one with Oma at the end.
We also need good weather for the next day, please. {:-) My sister-in-law and my husband decided we needed to have a family get-together on Sunday afternoon -- almost like a mini-reunion -- for the whole family. There will be something over 100 of us. And yes, you guessed it -- they want it at our house because we have the largest yard. If it rains, we'll spend the afternoon visiting in the church basement. I almost think I wish it would rain. . . Not only do I have to make a large potato salad, I'm also in charge of the coffee and juice. Although thankfully one of the other sisters-in-law is in charge of telling everyone what to bring this time. I always hate that job.
Well, now that my messages are showing up again, I'd better not over-tax the good fairy who fixed it with too long of a message. I may not get back here until some time next week. . .
