Hello all!
I'm happy to hear that everyone from here got off fairly easy from Frankenstorm Sandy. The pictures we're getting up here are just horrendous! We've been praying for safety for all. I'm very thankful that the death toll is so low.
Congratulations Sandi on your new job!!!! I had to read waaaaay back to find out about it. I didn't even read everything. I didn't realize how long it was since I was here.
I've been busy working on my crafts for the Christmas Stop 'n' Shop that we had last Sat. I was very pleased with how I did. Of course, I didn't get rid of everything, but sold way more than I have in the last 2 or 3 Craft sales put together.
Now it's time to start decorating for Christmas. We'll bring the tree in from our storage shed on Nov 11 -- oops, that's a Sunday. Maybe it will come in on the 10th or 12th then.
We had 5 kids come to our door on Halloween Eve. And 2 of them were our grandchildren. We're in the corner of town that has all the businesses so we don't get a lot of kids coming here. One year we only had 3, and I think the highest number we've had was 13 one year. We've only lived here for 12 years, we were on the farm for 28 years, and lived in another house in town for 6 years. I could take a picture of the store across the street from us, and that would be about it for interesting pictures of our town. Oh, I should take a picture of the front of our house. You would get a kick out of our door that's not a door. . .
Now I need to go. I just wanted to make sure you were all safe from the storm, and let you know that I've been busy. I've been reading the Shelter Bay books, and enjoying them. When I finish the one I'm on now -- Lavender Lane, or something like that -- I'll have read them all but the two that aren't out yet.
More later. . . {:-)
