Monday night

Hello!

As Donna said, we are fine.  Only a day without electric - much better than some - and the pine tree that fell.  I will have to post pics eventually.  Not sure if I can get my old computer fix, but got a new one in the meantime, since the girls need it for school.  Aurora was out of school all week, Amelia went back on Thursday, I only had Mon-Tues off and David worked thru it starting Sunday before Sandy came in.  We didn't get a lot of rain, but the wind was brutal.  Bucks County got hit really hard with down trees and loss of power.  Philly wasn't really that bad.  The shore is a mess though.  If I had known Seaside's boardwalk would end up in the ocean, I would have taken more pics when we were there in August:(  And to add insult to injury, a Nor'easter is expected to hit on Wednesday.  Like the shore needs that!

DonnaM --  Love your pics as always.  The town square is very pretty.  Nothing quite that picturesque here.  Remind me in the spring about taking pics of the neighborhood.  I don't like being out in the cold, and I have a feeling we are going to get a lot of snow this winter.  The Bristol Wharf is nice for pics - and it didn't even flood that bad during Sandy.

Sandi -- Congrats, congrats, congrats!!  Glad you got the job you wanted.  Have a great trip to CA, even if it is work related.  Sorry your ex-employers were jerks.  Some people just never grow up.  Hope you take a few pics while you are out there:)

Margie -- Glad Gavin is getting speech therapy.  Having been a child who took speech lessons thru fifth grade, I can relate.  Even worse - I talked fast to go along with it - lol!

Mary -- Glad you made out ok during Sandy.  I can't wait for the weekend - the weather is suppose to be sunny and 60 - woo hoo!

So other than work, and David working lots of overtime, not much happening here.  Lots of unexpected things to pay for last month, so that overtime won't last long.  We had Halloween on Saturday, which turned out good - and cold.  I walked with Amelia and her gf (who's grandparents had a house at the shore that is now a sandbox).  Chatted with Sarah's mom the whole time, which definitely made the cold more tolerable.  The townships here have Halloween scheduled at all different times, with a few suppose to be this Wed, but that Nor'easter could screw it up.  Kids that travel to different neighborhoods are going to make out this year.

Haven't been reading much.  Started a Blaze called Blazing Bedtime Stories, Vol VI by Tori Carrington and Kate Hoffmann.  Tori's story is The Little Mermaid in adult mode - she even is an actual mermaid.  Fun, fun!

Ok, its late and I better get to bed.  Hope everyone has a good Election Day!

Amanda
