T.G.I.F. 11/9/2012...

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It has been quiet here.  Sometimes life just gets busy.  Hope you all are okay.

The above picture is looking north down, or is it up, Healdsburg Ave.  I don't think I posted this one before. If I did, sorry for the repeat!

We had a showery, cool day yesterday & cool again today.  This afternoon I went for a walk it was very breezy, cool but not cold & at times the sky looked very threatening.  It did not ever sprinkle or rain so I was happy.  I stopped to browse in one of my favorite shops.  It is one of those places that has so much to look at you could spend hours looking.  One of these days I'm going to have the money when I see something I want.  It is all used, consignment items all very interesting & extremely well displayed.  It could be a real treasure trove depending on what you are looking for.  There is a lot of glassware, dishes, jewelery, some art work, cards, aprons, dish towels, clothing, some of which might be vintage, a very wide variety of items, some useful, some decorative.  I think it is a very unique place.  Now it is all decorated for the Christmas holidays which they have done beautifully.  Another perk of going in there is just ideas on decorating or display.  A fun place!

I've been reading a Lori Foster book but I keep getting side tracked with photography books or photography pictures on line!  The other day I was inspired to bake because it was cool enough to heat the place up doing that!  I made Applesauce-Pumpkin bread.  So yummy!  I should have gone over my last post!!  Again, sorry if I am repeating.

Mary, the puppet show with the grand kids sounds like fun.  I kind of miss my grand kids being to big for those kinds of activites.  That said they are still fun to do things with because they are more like adults now.  One is an adult, but the other two are teens!

I'll leave you with another picture!   Believe it or not this is a very pricey hotel.  I can't remember the name of it but the rooms are super expensive, at least I think they are!  If I am correct they start somewhere in the vicinity of $250 a night, maybe more.  I think it is called a small, boutique hotel or maybe intimate rather than small.

By the way the T.G.I.F. still goes despite being retired!

Enjoy the weekend.  Happy reading,
Donna M
