Hi guys!
I did vote today. Some years it seems we don't have a great choice but as my dad used to say voting is not just our right it is also our duty. Some of the congressional races will be interesting to see how they turn out. I don't watch a lot of the coverage until later in the evening or tomorrow morning.
The part of the county we live in really recovered well from the storm. Some tree damage around but no flooding here. The pictures from NJ are devastating to look at. My cousin who now lives in NC posted pictures of the island of Brigantine NJ where he grew up ( and my family spent a lot of time.) It just made me sad to see them. It will take years for some places to recover. And now another storm is heading there.
Donna M--I have been enjoying your pictures. You mentioned your allergies. Don and I have been suffering lately as well. We got quite a few kids for Halloween. I was surprised as it was a cold damp night. I always enjoy seeing them.
Sandi--I hope all goes well with your business trip. I can't believe how some companies treat employees when they leave.
Margie--that is great that Gavin will get help for his speech.
Amanda--glad to hear you and your family are ok. Sorry about the tree coming down but glad no one was injured. Today was beautiful--a little chilly but sunny!
Donna H--glad to see you stopped in. Congrats on doing so well with your craft sales.
Cady--I hope all is well with you. Check in when you can. Trudy as well.
Don and I went with Karen and the kiddies to a puppet show on Saturday which was great. The actors wore costumes with lights on as the stage was pitch black. The kids were enthalled. There was very little dialog, they used music and body-language. The stories depicted were The Ugly Duckling and The Tortoise and the Hare. I finished reading The Light Between Oceans a debut novel by M. L. Stedman. It was historical set in Australia in the 1920s. A good read but sad. I am now reading Take Me Tonight, one of Roxanne St. Claire's Bullet Catcher books. I am almost finished. It is a good fast read.
I hope everyone is having a good week.
Mary
