It's good to see you back!

I'm the one who asked if Richard was Ethan's father.  I must have missed the turn of events where she had a new boyfriend.  I knew they were apart, but I guess I thought it was something like friends with benefits.  I've never heard of a "denial of paternity" before.  Guess I'm too far behind the times. . . 

No soft water yet -- just the basement to dry out -- again!  But at least I can be thankful that every time our basement has gotten wet, it's been clean water from something of ours leaking, rather than coming in from outside, or -- ugg! -- coming up from the drain. 

So sorry to hear of your friend's passing.  I guess that would give one a start to see his truck drive up. 

That was me reading the Julie Ann Walker.  I read In Rides Trouble first, and Hell on Wheels second, instead of the other way around.  That's the way they came into the library and I didn't want to wait as I didn't know how long before the other one came.  I am really enjoying them -- not the language so much, but I can get past that.  I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for book #4.  {:-) 

We have to babysit again tomorrow, so I'd better get to bed.  I need to put my foot up, too.  For some strange reason my ankle is still swelling.  Thank goodness it doesn't hurt any more!

What a shock to hear of the bombings in Boston today!  Even though there were fewer people dead and injured, it was still just about as shocking as 9/11.  I just can't fathom stuff like that happening right at my own front door.  It doesn't seem possible.  Someone explained it to me yesterday, and finally it started to make sense -- as much as something like that can make sense. . .  Muslims believe that their savior won't come back to earth to get them unless the earth is in total chaos.  So that's why they don't want peace.  Also, suicide bombers (for example) are taught that if they give their lives up for the greater good of their cause, then they will go to heaven where many virgins will be waiting there just for them to have sex with and to do their every bidding. . .  At least that's what this person told us. 

Must go, I'm falling asleep sitting here.  {;-zzz  hmmm, that looks more like a beard than someone sleeping. . .
