Sunday evening, 4/7/2013...
Good Evening Everyone,
It is late enough that some of you probably are in bed sleeping! Here on the west coast though it is not quite 10 P.M. Just almost & will be by the time I finish this. :-) The picture above is another one at the winery were I took the pictures of the tulips & the garden. I love this bright pink Azalea against the bark of the tree.
TV is crappy tonight! Anyway for my choices!
We have been having some showery, cloudy days & some much needed rai, also some sun.. Not a lot of rain at one time. Starting Tuesday it is suppose to all clear up & warm up. I have a busy week ahead of me.
Last week my daughter came up on her day off for awhile. We had lunch & talked a lot. She & her son left for Oregon early this morning to visit her dad. Dustin had some vacation time coming & she just managed to get the days off so they could go.
I actually have been on a reading kick! Since I was last here I finished reading Landing It by Scott Hamilton. Just in case you don't know who he is Scott won an Olympic Gold for his figure skating in 1984. I am a long time figure skating fan. It is one of the sports I watch beside 49'er football! The book is an older one but very interesting. I also read Robyn Carr's new one The Wanderer the beginning of her new series. I enjoyed this very much for a couple of reasons, it is set on the Oregon Coast, a fictional town, but still it is the Oregon Coast which I love. Second, there is some great humor in the book which makes it a most enjoyable read. The next one was Mary Higgins Clark, Where Are You Now? Another good mystery by Mary. It wasn't until very close to the end that I was sure who the culprit was. I was leaning toward someone else entirely! Now I am reading a Catherine Anderson new release. Another author that I love reading. More about that one when I finish reading the book.
It has been rather quiet here, guess everyone is busy.
Trudy, did you go down to the bottom where you can click on older posts to look for the one you mentioned? How nice that you and Lee were able to have diner together on Easter. Have you ever read any of Catherine Anderson's books. Some of hers are historicals but I think in the 1800's. I'd have to look on her website. She writes a lot of connected books.
Sandi, did you read Robyn Carr's book The Wanderer. For some reason I think you read it quite some time ago to review. Some times it puzzles me what remains in my mind!! You mentioned that you had seen Mary Poppins, play or movie?
I've been watching the first season of Homeland on DVD. Part of me likes it, part of me isn't sure! I can't make up my mind about it. Maybe by the time I finish the first season I can make a decision about continuing!
I think this is it for now. My brain is getting a little mushy!! I'll wish each of you a good week. Maybe you will drop by to say Hello & let us know what you are reading. Here is a picture for you to enjoy. This is just the prettiest sight! This is growing over the curb by a house. You can see it coming down the sidewalk as you are going toward this corner. It sure brightens up the dull curb & concrete!!
Happy reading, take care,
Donna M
