Ok..it's only taken 3 tries to get the title of this post right! I had too many capital letters a couple of times, and then misspelled Sunday!
Trudy, congrats on getting the washer paid for. Have you received it yet? When I got my new one a couple of years ago I paid for it with money from Mom. Hopefully she's happy with the fact I spent the money to get something to make life a bit easier! The good thing about going to the laundromat is that you can get a ton of laundry done in about 90 minutes or so rather than it being an ongoing chore for an entire day!
Donna, sorry to hear about the flooding! Only one time have I lived in an area that we had a flood in the basement. Fortunately it was before Mike and I married, and only his possessions were down there. LOL!!! Now we live on a hill, and the people who live across from us live in something of a valley, and I do often wonder if they have flooding issues, but it's not something that I've ever had the opportunity to discuss with any of the neighbors.
Donna, you should try taking pictures of the ducks swimming. You just never know what you might get. I would have liked to take some pictures of our bluebonnets, but it's not been that great a season, and then we did have some rain fortunately, but it's made the weeds come out and almost choke the bluebonnets!
I accidentally read the third Julie Ann Walker book first, but haven't yet gone back and read the other two. I have them, and I will eventually get them read I'm sure!
Amanda, again you're such a good person to be reading all the various books your bookclub reads, because I don't do that! I don't read horror either. Again, I can't believe your book club always chooses expensive books! That's one of the big things about our book club...we try to chose paperback books, and if we have to add something more expensive in it's usually just a trade size book, can't recall the last hardcover we did!
Fresh Fiction is going to RT and I'm getting to go! I'm really excited about it! Julie Garwood and Jude Deveraux will both be there, and if I can meet them that will be totally amazing! If I kept books two of my keeper books would be books from Jude Devereaux. Sweet Liar and Summerhouse.
I'm not ready to spill all the details, but Brian could use good thoughts and prayers as he is getting ready to face a huge challenge. It's one that's going to be hard on all of us, but hardest on him.
Today I'm trying to find my inner goddess. So far she has managed to buy groceries, clean both bathrooms, including mopping the floors on my hands and knees, and changed the sheets on the bed. I have done almost two full loads of laundry, and another washing.
I'm reading Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts, and working a bunch! This next week I'm going to make my first sales call. I hope it goes well!
Have a great day!
Sandi
