Tuesday night

Hi Ladies!

Been busy over here, especially with work and had stuff going on almost every day for the last two weeks.  Happy for the slow down (at home anyway) this week.

So sad about the bombing yesterday.  I wish I understood people.  Really, if you don't like it here, there are other places to live.  Why punish the innocent that didn't do anything to you?  I think the medical staff on hand, and anyone else who helped out, did a phenomenal job.

Cady --- Belated Happy B'day!  Glad to see you pop in.  Hope you are here more once the craziness settles down.

Sandi --- Where are you going with Fresh Fiction?  Glad work seems to be going well.  I had never heard of the paternity paper they signed either.  Surprised it doesn't have to be notarized.  Learn something new every day I guess.  And yes, when the nurse came back, we used a combo of drinking a ton of water, heating up my arm and the blood pressure cuff.  Worked like a charm!  Guess I know what to tell people when they need to get blood from me - lol.

DonnaM --- Great pics - I love flowers.  Aurora will be taking a class trip next month to these gardens in Cape May.  Will be waiting to see what kind of pictures she comes home with (but not with my camera).  Sorry about the mold in the bathroom.  I can see that happening with the enclosed deal, even though I don't remember that problem when we lived in any of the apartments.  Probably just to long since I was there.

DonnaH ---  Sorry about all that water.  Totally sucky.  How did your dil's surgery go?  Scary your son was allergic to the packing.  Who would ever think of that?  Are you sure you don't have a mild sprain to your ankle?  Would explain the swelling.  I was a month when I sprained mine last year before the swelling finally went away totally.  I would be like you friend if there was a fire - as long as everyone is out, I would mourn the loss of pictures and a few other irreplaceable things.  Everything else is replaceable.   I have been trying to remember to make an extra disc copy of pictures and giving them to my mom, just in case of such an event.  She also had given me all the family albums, but I gave most back, just so everything wasn't in one place.

Trudy --- Nice pic - I could use that in my office:)   Glad you had Easter with Sharon's friend.  Hope this will be a continuing relationship for you.  I will take your "low" high any day.  We finally are warm for more than two days this week.  Two weeks ago we had a "high" in the low forties with a wind chill factor - ugh.  Had some cooler days last week too.  I am just so over the cold and want spring to stay.  And I would like to see more flowers and trees with leaves.

Mary --- What are thinking of our weather?  And the Phils are starting kinda up and down.  Cliff Lee was the only one winning until a few days ago.  Still in a rain delay tonight, so the jury is out at this time for today.  How are the grandkiddies doing?

I haven't been reading.  Finished the book club book on Tuesday last week (bc was Wed).  It was Low Pressure by Sandra Brown.  I liked it, others just thought it was ok and drug a bit.  I didn't think so.  Been busy, so no other reading.  I did learn thought that if a book is recommended, I need to find out how many pages are in it before putting it in the pot for book club.  Stephen King's 11/22/63 was the rec and got picked for next month's mtg.  I didn't know it was 825 pages - ugh!!!  That's like forever to me.  I need to be starting it, because if  I am lucky, I will have it finished by the time we meet again.  Next months pick is going to be horror - not a fav deal for me.  Anyone have a title that might fall in this category that you really liked?

Ok, off to bed.  Going out to dinner with my gf Jackie after work tomorrow (for her b'day - it was last week).  It will be good to catch up.  We ended up changing book club night too, so she will be able to join the club - yeah!  Amelia and David will both be home tomorrow, so are going to the zoo with my niece and nephew.  Hopefully they will take a few good pics to post.

Have a great week!

Amanda
