Friday afternoon

Happy weekend to you all!  I read a lot of the posts and I hope I hit them all:

Margie~~Good luck w/yard sale!  They are right when they tell you to mark it low and be willing to bargain. Actually, bargaining is the part of the yard sale I love.  I love to have them but not go to them; weird, huh?

Sandi~~I'm glad that you got better hours.  I hope that helps you a lot b/c I know that you've been stressed at work.  I hope also that you get all your IRS problems straightened out soon; I know how stressful that can be.

Mary~~I knew what you said and now I've drawn a blank. :(  I hate when that happens!

Donna~~Your pics are beautiful and you always have such interesting stories to tell of where you live.

Cady~~It's too warm where you live too?  Enjoy it while you can.  The cool down hasn't happened yet in FL; in fact, it's like July weather!

I won a set of Presents books awhile back from different authors that were autographed at the RWC.  I've read two of them, Strangers in the Desert by Lynn Raye Harris and Not Fit for a King by Jane Porter.  They are both good but I really like the second one where the heroine is a stand-in for the princess/bride who is a no-show.  Of course, they fall in love and then there's the constitution which requires the king marry a princess.  You know the rest.  It's great escapist reading.  The first one deals with the desert king's wife who walked into the desert shortly after the birth of their son and vanished.  Now, when he's ready to marry again, she shows up with no memory of their life together!  The back story turns out to be kind of tragic but love prevails in the end.

I also just finished a book by Jackie Ivie, Once Upon A Knight.  It was really weird, a historical, loosely translated, about a knight rescued from a dungeon and given a challenge to make this woman/maid fall in love with him but not bed her.  However, she knows how to use an apothecary and he plays a somewhat magical fipple.....  It was very strange.

As to my legal problems.  Monday, I go to sign the paperwork to file the new bankruptcy.  This Mon. I called at 11:45 to tell them that I was coming down but had to leave a voicemail as she had left for lunch; I said that I would be there around 1p.m.   I got there around 1:15 and she was screaming at me that I should have called first!  When I said that I did and it went to voicemail, she said that, well, she wasn't there to receive it and that she had just gotten back from lunch.  This is in the lobby in front of other clients.  Then she got the lawyer and he repeated the same thing, only quieter. Neither of them accepted my apologies at any time.  Anyhow, the lawyer decided that we had enough to file the case and I say "Praise the Lord!" They were very unhappy with CarMax's appraisal of my car but accepted; they said that the courts feel that CarMax is not reliable, to put it mildly.  I can hardly wait to be done with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The problem is bad enough but dealing with this toxic person makes it a thousand times worse.

I'm just trying to concentrate on the fact that it is now less than a month until I go see Celtic Thunder live and in concert! pant, pant!  I was so stressed out that I was losing interest in them until last week when I saw an interview from a TV station where all of them performed; it was the NE someplace.  Then I knew that the world was still OK! fanning myself here!  There are 6, count them, 6 of them this time!  pant! pant!  I'm not dead yet!
