Happy Monday
Margie - What a hassle it would have been if those rides had been open, I can just imagine all the kids wanting to do that. The cost of those things kill me. Whenever we go to State Fair, I give the kids x amount of money and then they can ride so many rides or games. I just can't see doing the wristbands as I imagine the kids would want to stay there all day. I also read Dream Lake over the weekend. I really liked it, but thought the ending was a bit too easy. However, I am looking forward to Justine's story next.
Mary - It is such a pain, when you have an injury and the treatment makes you slow down. I am sure that Don just wants to get healthy, but sometimes slow is better. I am also sorry to hear about the IRS, but thankfully you have the records. Still a hassle I imagine. The IRS is one place that I am definately afraid of. The Jodi Picoud book sounds good.
Trudy - Sorry that your health has been so poor. I am sure that stress is definately playing a part and it doesn't help when a friend's SO hits on you. Especially when you have borrowed money from them. I hope you are able to pay them back soon and he takes you clues that you are not interested.
DonnaH - Did you eat some of those grapes? They look so yummy, I am not sure I could have resisted. Congrats on the job for your SIL. It sounds like an great opportunity.
The weekend was good. Went shopping with my friend and Maggie and picked up a couple of things on sale. Got two sweaters for good prices and then found two nightgowns for Maggie (she prefers them to two piece pjs). Then we went to my MILs for a bit. So it was a busy Saturday, since Mike drove us down - he did stuff with Luke while we were shopping I was able to read there and back, so that was good. Then Sunday, we just did chores and stuff. Finished two books this weekend - Dream Lake by Lisa Kleypas and Murder on Bank Street by Victoria Thompson. I am reading the new JD Robb book right now, not loving the plot line (but that has more to do with all the innocent people dying). Hope everyone has a great start to the week.
