Hi guys!
Thank you all for your well wishes for Don and our IRS issue. Both situations have improved. Don's pt is going better. He sees the doctor again next week and will finish up his pt sessions. He will have to continue at home but he prefers that. We received a letter from our tax lawyer/cpa today. He sent a letter and copies of all necessary documents to the IRs so things are moving along. That should settle things but we won't be sure until we hear from the IRs. Things are going better this week. We shopped yesterday for a new recliner for me and I found what I wanted pretty quickly. My old one is slowly falling apart. Today I did my library volunteering. I did not bring home any more books this week. I have a pile waiting to be read by my chair. I finished the Hooper book Hiding in the Shadows and it was a good read. I am now reading Heron's Cove by Carla Neggers and enjoying it so far. Tuesday I worked on Lauren's dress and it is almost finished. It is purple with big red ladybugs on it.
Margie--I think your friend who reads Jodi Picoult will like this latest book since she likes fairy tales. I have Dream Lake on my pile to read soon. Good luck with your yard sale. We haven't done one in years but they are worth it if you have a lot of stuff to sell. Let us know how Gavin's picture turns out.
Donna M--I love the sunset pictures. Congrats to your son-in-law! I am hoping my Steelers win this weekend.
Cady--I hope all went well with your mammogram. I understand what you mean about Heron's Cove. Of course the conflict does make for a good story. I like Emma and Colin together but they have a tough road. The Jodi Picoult book was good. Not as intense as her adult books but still a good story.
Sandi--I hope Mike is feeling better now. I don't get flu shots. I know several people who have gotten sick after getting them. I hardly ever get colds let alone the flu so my doctor doesn't push the shots. I decided not to continue watching DWTS. In the fall there is too much going on. And I wasn't very impressed with the opening night. I have Gone Girl on hold at the library. I am curious about it. I have heard mixed reviews.
Amanda--I saw your pictures on F/B from last weekend and enjoyed them. We will be on opposite sides this weekend when the Steelers and Eagles play. It should be a good game. Well the long difficult Phillies season is over. I am ready for a break!
I hope you are all having a good week and reading some good books.
Mary
