Tuesday night

Hello!!!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes:-)  The above pic is from Dover International Speedway.  We went down on Saturday and met my gf who lives there.  The sponsers for the racers are there giving away freebies.  Too bad they weren't giving away tickets to Sunday's race:(  This pic is actually a larger scale of the trophy the winner gets.  The racetrack is called "the Monster Mile".  Hence, the monster above.

DonnaM --  I am never bored with your pics.  Loved the sunset ones, especially the pink one.  I never seem to have my camera when I go out at night, and the sky almost always looks pretty.  Silly ol' me!  Sounds like your sil got a great job!  The perks are awesome!  Wish him all the best.  I am watching DWTS, sorta.  Amelia has dance on Mondays at 8, so I miss portions of it.  Can't believe Bristol didn't get voted off this week - ugh!

Cady -- If you need a new mystery series, try Agatha!  She is my all-time fav mystery writer.  Started reading her books at 10, right after watching Death on the Nile.  Still my fav.  She has three main series, with a few singles and short stories, of which all are not mystery - a little more on the creepy side.  I always thought it as maybe a nod toward Poe.  I have all her books including her autobiography.  Just remember the time frame and that she's English.  My gf Jen read Gone Girl, and like you, didn't like the characters, but liked the story line.  She's going thru a divorce and wishes she had thought of that - lol.  Glad you had a good day out shopping.  Deals are always the best!

Sandi -- Aurora had to find 25 different species of trees.  Like I would know the difference?  It seems she did it correctly, so all is good.  The girls had off for Yum Kippur last week.  The company I work for is owned by a jewish family, and they take off, but the rest of us have to work.  Seems wrong, doesn't it?  So do you like the new hours?  A good excuse not to attend the book club you don't care for so much:)  How did this weeks club go?

Margie -- Not so surprised Gavin didn't like all the animals, especially the horses.  My girls weren't always crazy about them at that age either.  At least you could leave early and enjoy the day.  My eye problem started almost a year ago, but hasn't actually bothered me.  I didn't know it was "bleeding" and it didn't affect my vision.  Glad its cleared up though, because if it hadn't been caught, I would have probably lost most or all my vision in my right eye.  That soo would not have been good!  I can totally relate to the dr office waiting - ugh.  Glad your mom got diagnosed correctly - finally - and you were able to move to a quicker dr.  Always a plus!

Mary -- How is Don's elbow doing?  Sorry about the IRS - totally sucky.  I have a gf that has worked there for about 15 years now.  It was convenient for her when they were located on the Blvd (about 5 minutes from where I now work).  Moved down to the old post office on 33rd St in Philly last year.  Takes longer to get there by train now - lol.  Hope this issue clears up for you quickly.

Trudy -- Hit on twice in a week, eh?  And quite a jump in age!  Maybe the stars are aligning for you to meet Mr. Right:)  I wish I could say your stress will go away soon, but thinking it probably won't.  I'm all for finding a good book to relieve the stress.

Ok, think I will close up shop and try to finish my current book, a  Presents by Kelly Hunter.  I like her and this book is pretty good so far.  Will probably read my new book club book next.  Can't remember the whole title - something about Two Notch.  Jen loaned it to me on the Kindle:)  Also waiting for David to come home.  They called him around 4 to come back into work.  Had to go out to Gettysburg (its roughly a 3 hour ride from here).  Thought he would have been home already - must have hit traffic.

Hope everyone has a happy Wednesday!

Amanda
