Saturday, 9/6/2012...

Good Afternoon Friends,

It is looking & feeling very fallish today as it is cool, cloudy with the possibility of some showers come Monday.  A neighbor, to where I am cat sitting, said the paper says thunder storms!  We will just have to wait to see what Mother Nature throws at us.  The weather changes are always interesting, at least to me.

The ship above is the Sea Princess, it is huge.  I've seen cruise ships in port before but this thing just dominated the sky line when we first got down to this area in San Francisco.  This is from the day I went with my daughter.  As you can see it was a beautiful day, not cool but not hot.  Just a very nice day.  This is taken from Pier 39 which is a big man made attraction right on the bay.  As you can in the picture there is also a marina there.  I can't imagine what they charge to dock those boats!!!

There is not a whole lot for me to report as taking care of the cat is not terribly interesting!  So far it is all going pretty smoothly.  He did wake me up at an unholy hour this morning but settled down again until a reasonable hour!

Trudy, that lawyer either needs a new receptionist, or whatever her job is, or they both need to have more professional attitudes to their clients.  I can't imagine that scene.  I'm so sorry they did not treat you well.  For your sake I hope it is all settled very soon.  How nice that you have the Celtic Thunder to look forward to.  That always helps.

Margie, be sure to let us know how Gavin's picture turns out.  Even though school pictures are rarely that good it is still fun to have them especially when the kids get older.  Keep us posted on your garage sale.  I'll have to check into the book Dream Lake.

Mary, glad to hear that Don's pt has helped.  It is hard to except those limitations we all seem to develop as we get older.  Is it hard to come home from the library with no new books?  If I don't look I can often walk out with nothing after returning a book or books but if I look I seem to always find something!!  Right now I have been haunting the travel section.  I found a book on walks in San Francisco that I wouldn't mind owning a copy of.  San Francisco is full of so many interesting little neighborhoods & fascinating things to see.  Sometimes I forget!  Enjoy your new chair.  I have a rocker recliner that I have gotten a lot of good use from!  The chair is holding up very well but the upholstery is not!  Good luck to your Steelers.  The Niners are playing at home this weekend.

Since I am cat sitting I have been reading a lot & watching TV as there isn't much for me to do there.  It isn't like being at home where the computer distracts me numerous times a day!  My most recent read was another book in the Harmony series by Jodie Thomas.  This one is very good.  Now I am ready to track down a copy of Book #3 in the series.  I can't remember if the library has any of these books!  Right now I am reading a Blaze for a change of pace.

Cover design for Twisted Creek

This should catch me up for now.  Here is another picture from my day in San Francisco with my daughter.  I thought this was kind of an interesting shot of the marina & all the boats.

Enjoy the weekend.  Happy reading,
Donna M
