There's an old adage about keeping stuff...if you haven't used it in 6 months you don't need it. Now ask me if I adhere to that myself? I really am attempting to get better about it! Now, if I could just convince the rest of my family of that. I did tell Mike at one point that just because he bought it, paid for it, and now owns it doesn't mean we still need to keep it! I think the dejunking process at our house will go on for awhile yet!
Cady, isn't it just an awful feeling when you don't have your wallet? This morning I was going to get gas and saw a police car had pulled someone over. It made me think of my insurance information. I was like oops...expired cards! I need to be sure to get the new ones dispensed to one and all! I sure hope I remember by the time I get home tonight. Do the kids get jealous when one has something to do and the other doesn't? What card game are you addicted to? Richard got me hooked on a gin rummy game.
Did I mention that it's State Fair time in Texas? Every year there's a State Fair musical, and this year is The Addams Family. A friend asked me to go with her, so I now owe her for my ticket. I'm pretty excited...I'm going to take a half day off from work to go. We're going a week from tomorrow.
Monday when I got home from work I was greeted with the news that our kitchen faucet needed to be replaced. I've been wanting a new one for longer than I can remember, but couldn't really justify it. Yesterday Mike and I met at Home Depot and picked one out. He also wanted a water filter that mounted in the cabinet, so we got that too. Today the plumber came and installed it all. I can hardly wait to get home and see. We got the type of faucet that has a sprayer hose that pulls down. We've not had a sprayer hose in the 27 years we've lived in this house, so I'm totally excited! Of course I'm not thrilled about the cost, but what can you do!
Richard is thinking of going back to school. He's been taking steps to head in that direction. I just hope that if he does go back he takes it seriously this time, and does what he needs to do to pass, and actually get a degree!
I'm still listening to The Great Escape by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I'm also still reading Dream Lake by Lisa Kleypas and Don't Cry For Me by Sharon Sala.
What do those of you who watch Dancing think of this week's eliminations?
Hope everyone has/had a great hump day!
Sandi
