Hi Ladies,
No, the above is not my place. It is on the first street in my section (there are only 5 streets - like a ladder, 2 sides and 3 rungs). Ironically, I came home from the food store no more than 10 minutes before it went up. Heard this literally happened in a five minute span (gas leak). The guy who owned it died, but his 2 daughters and 8 grandkids made it out. I couldn't believe that many were living there! This is an old (as in made in the 70's) single mobile. Its smaller than mine. I'm glad the others made it out (the one granddaughter goes to school with Amelia). I always knew these went up quickly, but its scary to actually see it. This happened on Sunday night - I took pictures on Monday.
DonnaH & Margie -- I am reading Three Cowboys by Julie Miller, Dana Marton & Paula Graves (Dec 2012). I haven't read this week, so I am still only done the first story. Hoping to get some reading in this weekend.
Sandi -- Sorry the tournament didn't go so well, but glad you don't have to go back! Sound like the job, and the review, are going ok. Always good to hear. No doubt Elijah's party felt akward for you. Its always tough when the parents are split, but has to be worse when there is nothing in common. I can't believe she already has another baby. For bookclub, we do try to pick cheaper books, esp since almost everyone has an ereader, but Jen must not have realized this one wasn't in paperback yet. Since I already have the book, it didn't matter. And I let our newcomer (a friend of mine) borrow it, so she doesn't have to pick it up. I will definitely let you know what I think of it.
Trudy -- I will take your weather at the moment. Its darn cold up here! Only 28 when I left for work this morning. I say where the heck is Spring? It needs to show up pronto!
DonnaM --- How is the pet/house sitting going? Love the pic, as always. Wish I could see that here, preferably right now - lol!
Mary -- The weather is crazy, isn't it? I can't believe we have at least another full week of cooler temps. This weather is for the birds! I haven't seen the Phillies schedule, but if they are starting here, people will be bundling up at the games, for sure. How far is Hershey from you? We will be taking a 3 day vacation there in July, along with my gf Jen and her dd Alex. Rented what looks like a really great house (it had all 5 star reviews). Hoping it won't be a million degrees while we are there.
Ok, off to bed since it is now 1 am. The nurse is coming at 9:15 to try drawing blood - again. I'm buying life insurance, so have to give blood. She was here last Saturday, and 3 sticks later, had no blood. I have learned I am not the easiest to get from (and occasionally will pass out - but I haven't done that since I was pregnant with Amelia). We shall see how it goes.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Amanda
