Donna, We all seem to have the lingering cough and my mother has infections in both ears. 
I had to take her to the medical clinic on Sunday and she was finally given some oral antibiotics so hopefully she will get better now.  We will probably have a bbq for Superbow. My uncle offered to cook so that is the hard part.  I really hope the 49ers win.

I am really enjoying the Kindle but it is a bit heavy.  I guess I should have expected that but I didn't.  I am getting used to it...so much that, when I was reading a real book, I tapped the edge of the book expecting the page to change!  I just laughed at myself. 

This weekend I just stayed home all day and was lazy.  I did start and finish the new Linda Howard book, Shadow Woman.  It was okay.  Then I read The Lady Most Willing.  It is a Historical story in three parts by different authors.  It was cute.  I don't have anything else to ready so I guess I'll be checking on the free Kindle books until my library books come in. 

I read a lot of good things about the Google Nexus.  For me, it was cost and the fact that I was wanting it primarily for reading that helped me choose the Kindle Fire.  I got it for $159.00 at Best Buy.  My friend just got the new Microsoft Surface.  She had this huge laptop that, to me was more like a desktop.  It was nice but so big that you just couldn't have it on your lap in front of the t.v.  She really liked my Kindle but she wanted a tablet more for working on her spreadsheet and not really for reading so much.  She loves Excel and that is why she chose the Surface but it was pricey.  Good luck choosing a tablet.
