Amanda~~Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a great day! Sorry this is late.
DonnaM~~Pork and sauerkraut is a PA Dutch tradition which is supposed to bring good luck. Mary lives where I used to live within a few miles actually of where my younger son lives now and where I used to live. Reading, PA and Berks Co is very PA Dutch! There is (I hope it's still there) a restaurant there that I love to go to for authentic PA Dutch chicken pot pie. Yum, yum, yum!
My friend Sharon was admitted to the hospital again on Monday following her radiation treatment. Her BP was dangerously low and she's received two units of blood so far. I found out that CT scans indicated that the tumors are, in fact, growing not shrinking! She's very weak right now and can use all the prayers she can get if you wouldn't mind.
Grace Burrows had a contest on FB today about what you're doing for Valentine's Day with 25 copies of her ARC as prizes. My sob story about how I hate this time of year and why won me a copy. When I thanked her and elaborated on what my birthday and Christmas was like with my husband and sons so that my sons totally ignore me now, I received a really nice response from her. I can hardly wait for her new book to arrive! I have posted a review of Mia Marlowe's book on Amazon and Goodreads; it comes out this month and is worth reading. I finished the first book Sue-Ellen Welfonder sent me, the first book she wrote; I love Scottish medieval romances and this is no exception. Now I'm reading Tawny Weber's Christmas Blaze for a change of pace.
We are having a wonderfully warm week here setting records every day. I love it! It's supposed to last for another week. Been swimming every day.
The story of the broken tooth is awful! I feel for you! I can relate as I'm looking at a future like that if I don't act soon about my dental problems. Ugh! I hope you're doing better now.
Well, the last of my pork and sauerkraut is now nuked so I'd better eat it, huh? I'm going to the symphony on Sunday; I'm really looking forward to it as I haven't been in a couple years. I got a ticket through Groupon in case any of you have that service where you live. You can get great deals on all kinds of things.
Happy weekend!
Trudy
