Hi everyone!
I have been checking posts. Glad to see there are more to read today. It is very cold here right now but no snow. We did have a dusting overnight but have been lucky this month. There is a storm coming on Friday but they are not sure how much snow we will get. It might change my birthday plans if we get a big storm. Karen and family are planning a dinner for me on Sat. If the weather is ok and my mouth is not too sore Don and I will go out to dinner Friday and maybe a movie.
My dental adventure starts tomorrow with the first 'deep cleaning'. I have no idea what to expect but the dentist did say they will numb the gums so that is good. Next week I will start the fillings and caps process. I have been getting everything done this month. I told you about the license photo. I also had an eye appointment. The eyes are about the same but I did need a little change in my prescription so I am also getting new glasses.
As Trudy pointed out the school where the stabbing took place is the school where Karen went years ago. It is hard to believe but I know these things can happen anywhere. The information I got was that the whole thing started on Facebook but I don't have the whole story.
Donna H--Hope you are doing ok with all the snow. Keep in touch.
Donna M--congrats to your 49ers! I will cheer for them in the Superbowl as I am definitely not a Ravens fan.
Sandi--thank you for the early birthday wishes. It seems each state is different when it comes to licenses. I can't believe Brian will be 21! Good luck with the wisdom tooth extraction. I had two done many years ago without any problems.
Trudy--I don't get the daily newspaper so did not see you family members. I know some parents were not happy with how things were handled the day of the stabbing but most we ok with the procedure followed. I know the stabbing victim was moved to Hershey Medical Center from Reading at some point but did not have life-threatening wounds--but they were very serious. I have been getting your updates on Goodreads. i really enjoy it and rate all my books there. I don't always do reviews.
Cady--I agree if your team is not in the Superbowl it is not as much fun but I do watch it every year. Sounds like things are going ok at work. It seems companies expect more and more of their best employees.
I finished reading Bare Bones by Kathy Reichs and it was good as her books usually are. I also read Captured by the Highlander by Julianne MacLean ( a new-to-me author ) and really enjoyed it. It is the first book in a trilogy so I will read the others at some point. I am trying to read more books from my TBR piles this year. More than half the books I read last year were from the library. I have only read 4 books this year so far but liked all of them. Not sure what I will read next.
I hope everyone is having a good week.
Mary
