Took Notes

Well, I took notes, but I'm sure I'll still forget something. . . 

Mary, oh my, what a horrible experience -- a stabbing!  I hope the student is okay?  Will your ddil keep your grandson home for a day or so? 

You poor thing -- there's nothing worse than standing in line behind/in front of someone who needs to wash, and the F-word is almost as bad.  I got someone in trouble once who continually used that word in a work environment.  I put up with a couple of weeks of nasty comments after that, because of it, but eventually everything went back to an even keel with no more "F" expletives.  {:-/ 

We renew our license pictures every 5 years, but it's not that bad because there's a camera in every centre where you can renew your license.  I'm not sure when my picture is due to be taken again.  I've lost track.  I guess they'll tell me when the time comes. 

I picked up "The Perfect Hope" from the library today.  Seems like I've been waiting forever to get it.  The book looks brand spanking new, never been read before.  I'll have to be very careful with it.  My librarian said I can't renew it, either, because of the length of the waiting list.  I'll have to get my name on the list for the ones Nora has coming out asap, so I'm higher up on the food chain. . . 

Cady, $269 isn't bad for one extraction???  Last time I had a tooth pulled it cost me $68, and that wasn't all that long ago, either.  Maybe it seems like a lot to me because I'm on a fixed pension, and can barely make ends meet as it is without using up 25% of my income on the dentist.  I know she has expenses, too, I just don't want to pay them all.  {:-( 

You need dental work done?  Yikes!  Hopefully you have SOME kind of insurance? 

I got a paper today while having coffee, and one of the jokes it had in it said, "A promotion is when you get paid for work you already do."  Maybe you'll do such a good job of filling in for that other person that instead of hiring someone by summer, they'll just give you a "promotion". . .  {:-o 

I've invited Bren, guess we'll just have to wait and see if she finds us or not.  I hope she comes.  She's got a wonderful sense of humor.  I still go to eH every now and again.  Mostly to buy my monthly books.  I'm trying to decide if it would be more convenient for me to get them on the Reader Service monthly plan, or to keep ordering them every month.  Right now I get 10 or 20% off, depending on the coupon I've got, plus free shipping.  If I get them on an auto-order, I get no $$ off, and have to pay shipping.  (I think) 

I'm brain-dead, I think.  It's almost 2 a.m. Must get to bed. . .
