Saturday afternon

OK, so I'm goofing off!  I took down the outside lights and brought in my Santa Claus which is about 38 years old (bought him when my younger son was 2 and we lived on Girard Ave in West Lawn, Mary).  I've treasured this Santa for many years and he still has the same brick inside of him as I put in him all those years ago, plus I only changed the light bulb once.  Not sure when my tree will be put away as I have some dampness problems in that closet to deal with first.   And, horrors of horrors, the books on my Keeper shelf, two shelves up on a bookcase in my bedroom, are tacky!  I've boxed them up and have them sunning to dry out!  Happened to my Christmas cards sealed in their box in a drawer in little chest of drawers under a window.  All three are on outside walls; people think it might be because of my 4 month a/c problem last year.

I visit Sue-Ellen Welfonder's Tartan Ink's blog almost daily.  She hasn't been active much lately as she's been writing but she did post New Year's Eve at midnight just after I did my broom/dance.  So I posted about it and she sent me four of her back list books b/c I was the first one to post in her blog this year!  It came today and it was like opening a huge Christmas present!  She lives a lot closer to me than I thought too.  I am  always telling her about the weather.  I think we're kindred souls in some ways, especially with the weather.  I know she loves Scotland and I want to go to Ireland and Scotland so bad I can taste it.

Mary~~Thanks for joining me on Goodreads.  I just posted a review of Mia Marlowe's book which comes out this month there.  I have a friend here, who gets me the great tickets to Celtic Thunder, who is always posting on Goodreads too.  Plus Shana Galen is posting there also.  I still haven't quite figured out how to make the site work for me except to mark "want to read."  I could review so many books!  Since 2006, I've read about 2000 books; kept a list of them and marked which ones were good, super, avg. and yuck.

Well, I waited for people to go to the pool so I could go swimming since I'm not allowed to swim alone because of my epilepsy but, they waited to come until it got overcast and now it's tooooo cold.  Spoiled brat that I am!  So I guess I go to the laundromat and do my laundry because tomorrow it's supposed to rain hard and I don't want to be hoofing it over there then.  Have a great weekend everyone!
