Hey everyone,
Last week was a crazy week, very busy due to the lost employee, then I ended up losing my speaker for my major event - twice - finally got a new speaker and a new date, which is later in May, which will be better as we were behind due to the speaker issues. So as they say, all ends up well, but causes heartburn in between. :) However, both the kids and I had yesterday off, so that made for a very nice long weekend.
Mary - We do our licence every 7 years I think- I know at some point, I have to take a test again, but hopefully I will get a warning before I go in for that one.
DonnaH - I haven't had a tooth extracted, but just got a Crown and could not believe how much it was - $1000. One of my teeth broke, so it was not planned, so it was definately painful. Luckily, I had just gotten my Christmas bonus, unluckily, that was not how I wanted to use it. I have been buying my books from the stores lately rather than going to eharlequin. I can get 25% off here which is better than I can get there. So not much incentive to buy online.
DonnaM- Congrats to your 49ers, it does make the Superbowl more fun if you like a team. My son, who really got into football this year, asked me if it was even worth watching this year. I told him we would either have or go to a party so he could watch or play with his friends, he thought that would be good. I will put Joann Ross and Jodi Thomas on my list. Thanks for the recommendations.
Sandi - Ouch, I had my wisdom teeth out years ago. The best thing I can say was it did help me lose some weight as I didn't want to chew for a while. Hopefully, they can do it better now. I am always amazed at how much easier surgeries have gotten, so you might be eating steak that night. :) I can't believe Brian is turning 21. Life keeps moving, even when we want it to slow down.
Trudy - Wow, I hope your eye issue isn't anything serious, the black dots would have worried me too. We didn't watch the inauguration - the kids had the day off and it is verrrrrry cold here, was -2 degrees this morning, so we went to an indoor playground/bounce house place and then out to lunch. I did see pics, thought the girls looked very cute, liked Michelle's ball dress, not so much her jacket - too busy for me, and thought Beyone's earrings were the bomb.
This week is much better. Had a dentist appt this morning, luckily I am good for a while. Work appears on a smoother schedule and it is a four day week. :) I have a parent meeting for Luke's First Holy Communion on Wednesday night, but the rest of the week, no nights. Am reading an new auther Amy Patricia Meade - Million Dollar Baby, started slow, but it is getting good as I keep going. Read the new Jayne Ann Krentz over the weekend - Dream Eyes, it was good, but I have to admit, she is a library author for me now. (She use to be an auto-buy.) However, I still really like her historicals, so am looking forward to her Amanda Quick book that comes out in Spring. Hope everyone had a great week.
Cady
