Hi guys!
I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend. We went to the neighbors' get-together last night and had a good time. It was nice to catch up with some people I don't see that often. We did end up going to Karen's today for a few hours. The kids told us all about their beach vacation. They loved the sand and spent a lot of time making sand castles. Lauren like the water and jumping the waves but Jake was a little afraid. He is still too little for the waves. They shared a house with Jer's two brothers and their wife/girlfriend. The kids enjoyed playing with their little cousin who is 6 months old now. It was good to catch up with them before the first day of school this term. Lauren is excited for kindergarten and Jake is in the big boy preschool class now.
We still are undecided about our vacation. Don is having trouble with the tendonitis in his elbow again. He is going to a new doctor next week so we will see how that goes before deciding. We are also having a new a/c, furnace and hot water heater installed this week. Our a/c quit for good last week. All these items are at least 25 years old so we figured we would do them all at once. We found a good company and price with rebates so we are going ahead. This will also upgrade the house and save on energy costs.
Donna M--happy belated birthday to your granddaughter. Sounds like you are still getting good produce at the Farm Market.
Amanda--happy belated birthday to Dave and hope you had a good time when you guys went out. Did you get any rain this weekend? It has been raining off and on here. We drove through a downpour on the way to Karen's.
Cady--I have only read the first CS Harris book. I have the second one to read. I'm not sure how I feel about the h/H relationship yet and these two characters.
Donna H--that is a shame about the vandalism at your bil's. Unbelievable! How are you enjoying The Witness? Enjoy your new bookcase and more room for books!
I read The Good Father by Diane Chamberlain over the weekend. It was very good and one of her best. Not sure what I will read next.
I hope everyone has a good week.
Mary
