This and That

This might not be too long, as I've got grandchildren here for the night, so I'm just sneaking in a break before taking everyone for a walk. 

My daughter doesn't see the dr. until the 10th.  I can't believe that Sept 10th is only little more than a week away.  Yikes!  Where did the summer go? 

Hardy was supposed to look after his brother's business today because Norm was going to Winnipeg for a friend's 50th Anniversary party.  He got there only to find that the 3 vehicles Norm had left standing outside the compound had been vandalized.  Someone had jumped on the roofs and hoods and broken the windshields.  One of them was a BMW.  Hardy said the police were there for hours taking fingerprints, etc.  Who, I ask you, would be stupid enough to vandalize a vehicle and leave their prints all over the windows and hoods?  Norm does have insurance, but you never like to use it if you don't have to. 

I picked up The Witness by Nora Roberts from the library yesterday.  I was told that I can't renew it as there's a waiting list for it.  So I'm leaving the last two Bullet Catchers books for later and have started Nora's.  I'm only a few pages in, but it's good already. 

I'm very glad Isaac didn't do too much damage to any of you. 

The people across the back from my daughter are having a garage sale this weekend.  I got a lovely big! bookcase 4' high by 5' wide, and 12" deep, for $7.00  I sure can't make it for that. 

Now I have to do some fall cleaning in my bedroom so that I can get it in there.  I'll take out the two small bookcases and put the big one in their place.  Then I'll have room for at least another 500 books in there instead of having to keep them in so many different places -- and piled up on the floor.
