Hi guys! Here goes--I had a lot of posts to read and will try to answer all of them.
Our a/c, furnace, hot water heater install went great but did take two days. We had some cleaning up to do and I had put off grocery shopping, etc. so we have been busy. Plus the last three days I have been dealing with my one foot (pain, swelling) so have not done much. Started taking Aleve on Tuesday and it has helped but it does make me spacey! Don went to a new doctor for his elbow tendonitis and was x-rayed and got a cortisone shot. The good thing is he is going to physical therapy this time and I think that will do the trick.
Cady--I enjoyed seeing the photos of your kiddos. Maggie is a brave girl doing the zip line. I will continue to read the Cs Harris books.
Donna M--glad you had a nice dinner with your dd and gs. Yes you are right we should never forget 9/11. Ever. I read Inside as well and enjoyed it. I haven't read the sister's book yet but do have it on my tbr. It is interesting the mistakes authors make when writing about a place they are unfamiliar with. It can ruin the story for readers who live in the area. I have read books set in PA that had mistakes in.
Donna H--I hope you are feeling better by now. Glad you are able to store so many books on your new bookcase. I loved The Witness as well--one of her best books she has written lately. That is cool your kids got you the new flat-screen tv. We got our first ever in January and we love it.
Margie--good to see you here. I hope Gavin is liking preschool better.
Sandi--I did really enjoy The Good Father. I think it is one of her best books. Lauren loves kindergarten and is doing well. She likes her teacher and her class only has six kids in it which is great. Sorry Richard lost his job. I hope you are enjoying having Elijah around. They are little for such a short time. I liked Rainshadow Road as well. I bought a copy of Dream Lake. Can't wait to read it. A movie was made based on Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor. I think it will be on Lifetime.
Trudy--I have been using Google Chrome too. I am still having trouble with Internet Explorer trying to override it but so far it is working out ok. I hope your legal worries are over soon. Good to see you here.
We are glad the football season has started. The Steelers and Penn State did not start out well but hopefully things will get better. I finished reading Winterkill by CJ Box. This was a book in his 'Joe Pickett' series. The story was good but there is violence in his books and they don't have Harlequin endings. I needed something lighter after that so I read a HRS book by Linda Conrad called Texas Manhunt. It was a good fast read. I like her books and have read several over the years. Not sure what I will read next.
I hope everyone is having a good week!
Mary
