Well, it did get a bit busy in here since I left.  Well, we are now firmly into September.  For us, that means getting back into our school routines.  I think DonnaM talked about how she enjoyed sending the kids back.  It is nice to have a more set routine, the problem is we are always so busy in fall.  Maggie is doing Choir and Orchestra, so two early mornings a week (plus renting a violin - ouch, that was expensive) and also the running class and girl scouts, plus normal homework, Luke is just doing swim this semester, and religious classes for both and then normal work stuff.  Feels like we are constantly shorting something for something else.  I am certain things will feel better in a couple of weeks.

DonnaM - I am not a Packers fan, lived in Michigan until I was 24, so I am a Lions fan.  Packers fans are a bit obsessive, so I maintain my allegiance.  The kids are split with Luke liking the Packers and Maggie not really caring.  I hope you have a safe trip into the City.

Margie - I am certain that Gavin soon will be enjoying preschool.  We had a lot of issues with Luke and daycare or anything new and if I just gave him some time, he would do fine.  He is annoyed this year as none of his good friends are in his class, but I think it helps him develop new friends.

DonnaH - Wow, that is great on the weight loss.  I remember when we all were doing the menopause makeover.  I am trying to loss what I put back on, have lost about half, but have to keep working.  I hope you feel better and don't get all of what Hardy had.

Sandi - I don't have a Kindle, my work has an Ipad that I get to use and they are okay with me putting books and stuff on it.  I had a fit this morning as I couldn't find it.  Mike had moved it to a kitchen chair and then pushed the chair in the table, so I was a bit crazy.  What does the Paperwhite Kindle do that is different than the one  you have?  Our elementary school goes up to 5th grade, so this year and one more before we have one at Middle School.  As for the zip line, Luke doesn't like heights, so he was not going on that or the ropes.  No way as he said.  I am sorry to hear about Richard's job.  I wish companies would be honest to people, it would have been rough, but at least then he could have been looking for a job.  Enjoy the time with Elijah though, all too soon, they will be off on their own.

This weekend was errands - stuff for orchestra and Maggie's running class and then her girl scouts had a fundraiser.  This week is a bit crazy, today Maggie had Choir early, running tonight, Luke has swim tonight, Wednesday early meeting for me, then religious ed that night, running for Maggie on Thursday and an early meeting for me, then a neighborhood picnic on Saturday (if it doesn't rain).  Did do a bit of reading this weekend.  Finished

Murder on Washington Square (Gaslight Mystery)and the new Jayne Castle book

The Lost Night (A Rainshadow Novel)The VT book was okay, I thought the killer was pretty obvious though.  Although, I admit, I didn't get the twist until later.  The JC book was also okay, not my favorite.  The romance was just too easy, didn't feel real.

Not sure what I am going to read next, have an Elizabeth Peters book and another Victoria Thompson book.  Also have Gone Girl at the library, so I need to go pick that up.  Hope everyone has a great Monday.
