Good Afternoon Everyone,

The above picture shows a small portion of the trail I was on the day I spent at the coast.  There are several little bridges like this across gullies or places that during the rainy season do have water in them.  I like walking this trail.  There is a portion of it I have yet to walk, maybe the next time I will do that!  You get some great views.

Donna H, sorry you were so sick with the nasty bug that Hardy passed along.  None of us like being sick.  I would much rather be healthy so I can function.  How nice of your daughter to do the dishes for you.  That is something I need to do as soon as I am done here!  I'm still reading the Tell Harlequin book, still not impressed.  More once I have finished it.  It reinforces the reason I don't read this line!  I still salute you for the weight you have lost no matter how much more you want to loose.  Considering that many of the planes headed for the USA on 9/11/2011 that ended up in Canada they were very much involved.  Many nations were represented at those two buildings that came down.  But it was primarily something that happened to the U.S. in the U.S.  Google+ had a post from National Geographic that connected a person to a slide show of pictures from that day.  They said they intend to keep showing it every year.  It is a good way for people to remember what is was & a way for people who were to young at the time to understand just what that day was like.

Yesterday I didn't mention that my printer died!  Things like this never happen at a convenient time!!  Is there a good time?  Anyway, since I was going to Santa Rosa to have dinner with my daughter & grandson I left early so I could run a couple of errands.  One of the errands was a quick stop at Best Buy to check out what they had in the way of printers.  Well!!  There was one on sale for $49.99 (probably an older model closing out) it scans, copies & prints.  Those are three functions I will use.  Yes, I walked out the door with it!  However it ended up costing $81 because all the new electronics are wireless, I'm not, so I had to buy a USB cable to hook it up to my computer.  Then of course, there is tax!!!  The printer that died lasted about 10 years so I cannot complain. I really don't remember for sure just when I bought it but it was a special at COSTCO at the time.  This one I had to put on my credit card.  Glad I have it but would much rather just get it paid off...again!!  I spent time this morning getting it all hooked up & programmed to work with my computer.  It went very smoothly & is all working well.

Dinner with my daughter & grandson was good.  We went to a little Turkish place in Petaluma that was more like a deli.  They had seating outside which we took advantage of.  We all liked the food & we all had something different.  I choose the lamb shish kebab which was very tasty.  It was served on rice with a nice yogurt based dipping sauce that was good.  Not sure what all it had in it.  The people there were very nice, told us how to pronounce the choices & were pleasant.  We got dessert to go, they choose some kind of a cake big enough to share but I had to have the Baklava which I love.  The first time I ever had Baklava it was home made by a woman of Greek heritage.  Our daughters were friends.

Those dishes are haunting me!  Got to go get them done.  I'll say good bye with another picture!  Not a surprise I'm sure!!  This is at Wright's Beach which is one of my usual stops.  The path that is shown leads down to some restrooms & on to the beach if you want to be there.  It is often windy at this spot.  In fact, I went there with my Mom many years ago on a day that happened to be very windy!  I took pictures of her with her hair blowing straight back, it was very funny!  She wasn't as amused as I was!!!  We didn't stay on the beach long in that spot.  We both laughed a lot.  I'm sure I looked just as funny as she did!

Have a good evening.  Happy reading,
Donna M
