Good Afternoon Friends,
This morning I got to sleep! It was about quarter to 8 when my eyes popped open. It was so nice. The cat I was taking care of starts early in the morning despite the fact that he can't go out until it is light out. He was having problems fighting with another cat in the neighborhood & he was getting the bad end of it! If you are lucky he doesn't start with the meowing until around 5 but usually it is earlier. He is hard to ignore even when the door is shut!! Oh well! The money sure helps my economy!!
The picture above is of flowers that I find interesting. I have no idea what they are. They remind me of a lily but I'm pretty sure they are not. Since I have no idea what they might be I don't even know how to find out!!
We are having fallish weather but headed to a warm up over the weekend. I'm so wanting to get in the car & just go somewhere!! I know, I was just in San Francisco last week. It isn't like I haven't done anything. The warmer weather is going to last through Monday so maybe I will head over to the coast for a day after I have the car serviced. I hate to keep racking up the miles when it needs taken care of. Nothing wrong, but I do like to keep up with the maintenance.
Amanda, glad to see you here. It looks like you have been busy. For your sake I do hope the bus issue with your daughter is solved. What do you mean you are to old to walk from one end of the school to the other!!! :-) You are much younger than I am so I know it can't be to difficult!!! Back to school night was always interesting. Sometimes I miss it but not often as I really like having only myself to take care of. It is also fun having my daughters & their families to enjoy. I still haven't read the other Desire that Tell Harlequin sent. Like Mary I think I will opt out as I rarely enjoy anything they send. Keep us posted on what you are reading for book club. Belated congratulations on your anniversary. I saw the wedding pictures you posted on Facebook.
Mary, a day outside with family is always a good day in my opinion. I'll have to check out the Valley Forge area online to have a look. If I'm remembering correctly neither of our football teams came out ahead on Sunday. This weekend the Niners are playing the Jets. We will see how that goes. It is early in the season yet which means much can change. Sorry to hear that Don's problem may not go away completely. It is difficult to take the limitations in stride as we get older! So far I've been very fortunate with my health. I loved all the Bullet Catcher books. It has been awhile since I read any of them but I do know I always looked forward to the next one. You said you are not sure if you will watch DWTS after this first week. I enjoyed it. Was happy (not nice, I know) to see Pamela Anderson the first one voted off! I just never have cared for her. I'm wondering what she is going to do on Broadway. I was bummed to see Drew Lachey one of the ones in Jeopardy. Because I wanted to see all of DWTS I missed the premier of NCIS being back with new programs. I hate it when two shows I like are on at the same time. I know the networks do it on purpose because they all want all of the audience.
I had to stop to move laundry from the washers to the dryers! This is sheets & towels, my clothes I always wash when I pet sit! It is a plus that I love when I'm taking care of someone's animals!
Yesterday was an interesting TV day for me. The President & Mrs. Obama were on The View, Barbara Striesand was on Katie. Then in the evening I watched DWTS & Private Practice.
Before this gets any more "chatty" I will close for now. My stomach is demanding attention to have lunch!
