Monday night

Yes, I'm still alive and kicking!  It's been a very difficult time for me as you well know.  Last week, the attny for the credit union which is after me, sent me paperwork indicating that they are seeking a hearing, at least that's what my older son says.  I scanned the papers into my wireless printer and emailed them to my sisters and sons; my older son is the only one who responded and he understands legal stuff b/c his ex is always changing custody arrangements.  (I can't help it, this wireless scanning and printing stuff just blows my mind)  There is hope but I'm not saying anything yet since this is the internet; let's just say that I slept well for the first time in many nights last night!

I'm so glad that the conventions are over too!!  I didn't go anywhere near the RNC which, as you know, was held here.  I did meet a reporter at a Labor Day event where I was volunteering for Oldsmar Cares and he was actually down on the line with the protesters when they faced off with the police.  It was very interesting and ended peacefully.

I also received the Tell Harlequin books.  I've read both of them and they are pretty good this time.  The one I liked the best is A Tangled Affair by Fiona Brand.  She's a Christian author, the dedication is to the Lord and the book is really steamy without being graphic.  The sexual tension just flows the whole way through the book and yet, the book is relatively clean.  Goes to show you that you don't need all the show-and-tell to make you all hot-and-bothered!  The other book deals with a little girl who experienced a tragic loss and has withdrawn into herself and her uncle's efforts to hire the right teacher to bring her out of it.  Of course, the right teacher turns out to be the love interest; a bit like the governess of old.  So those of you who also received them, you'll enjoy them also!

My PC croaked and then I discovered that Firefox on this was corrupted and had to delete it.  Now I'm running Google Chrome which Office Depot tells me is "the" one to use currently.  I'm having to look up all my passwords again before I sign in to my sites! :(

Currently I'm reading a Carl Hiaasen book Skinny Dip which is about the supposed murder of a woman of a wife thrown overboard by her husband off the coast of Florida as their cruise ship was returning home from an anniversary cruise.  If you know anything about this author, you know that nothing is as simple as that.  Carl Hiaasen was a reporter for the Miami Herald and is an environmentalist and strong supporter of all things Floridian.  His books are also really whacked out for the lack of better words!  And I really like this book.  Last year I read another of his books called Sick Puppy which was written many years ago and by the end of the first chapter, the governor in it strongly resembled our current governor!  LOL!

I really don't like Daniel Steele's books; I think they are too syrupy.  Did I tell you that I saw her on "The View" a few weeks ago?  She has nine children!  And the longest hair, down to her waist, in a pony-tail!  She also said that she always closes the door on bedroom scenes.  Very interesting.

Tomorrow I have a return appt with the dermatologist.  I don't think the stuff I'm using for my dry skin is working but I'll bet she'll tell me to keep using it.  Just one of the five specialists I've been to since the Fourth of July.  Went to an ENT last week and had my nose cauterized to stop the bleeding which had lasted for a month; he said that my membranes were dry and that's why it was bleeding.  Can hardly wait for the results from the urologist!  I'm still waiting on the DMV to say whether I can keep my driver's license or not; I had an EEG in July and went to see my neurologist to have him sign that I can keep driving.

I will definitely let you know if what I am counting on to happen, happens.
