friday night

I hope you all haven't given up on me!  I'm telling you that if I wasn't having any more fun, I couldn't stand myself (NOT!!!!).  These last two weeks have been real winners that's for sure (and you all thought my spring was fun, huh).

Update on the a/c: I'm now on company #4.  The last company told me that the chase line would cost $2000 and that they wanted $1000 upfront to which I screamed into the phone, "$1000!  I don't have $1000 and I don't any way of getting $1000!"  So the man with whom I'd dealing was supposed to call me back; I never heard from them since.  That was Monday a week ago.

The next day (Tues) I went to drop my bank statement off at my lawyer's and the place was shut up tight!  I called and discovered that she had moved without a forwarding address!  I finally tracked her secretary down at the new office but she was in OH with her father.  So I called the FL Bar Assoc.

In the meantime, a new neighbor has a bil who does a/c which is good b/c at 1 a.m. Mon. morning my a/c iced up again.  I woke my neighbor up at 9 a.m. trying to get his bil's number to get freon (his bil said he could fix my a/c).  Long story short, his bil came out at 5 p.m. and put fix-a-leak for a/c in my a/c and some freon; he says that it's 90-95% effective.  If it doesn't work, then the chase line has to be pulled.  Let's hope that it works b/c I've found out that neither my homeowner's insurance nor the assoc. will pay for any repairs!

As you all know, I'm a huge, huge fan of Celtic Thunder.  Unfortunately on June 4, Ryan Kelly was hospitalized with an undisclosed problem in Ireland.  At the request of his family nothing has been released yet but we have figured out that he fell, hit his head and is in a medically-induced coma (we think).  He thousands of fans worldwide are distraught!  The Celtic Thunder website is essentially shut down which is way, way out of the ordinary for them.  The lads have been very silent on Twitter and FB.  Yesterday, there was a Mass held in Ryan's village of The Moy, Co. Tyrone in Ireland and fans worldwide paused to pray for him.  I even went to a Catholic church and lit a candle and prayed.  I felt peace for the first time since this happened.  If you remember, I spent an evening with Ryan and Neil in March and was extremely impressed with both of them.

This week I've felt so tired; I've napped a lot, had no energy, can't get anything done.  Wonder why?  Now I find out that the DMV requires an EEG and dr's note in order to keep my driver's license and today, I got two  letters from lawyers asking to represent me b/c  my former credit union is taking me to court (news to me; I never received anything).

My youngest grandson's bday was yesterday; he's 5.  He likes Mini-coopers so I went to a dealership and got my picture taken with a bunch of Minis and then I made a photo calendar out of it.  In the meantime, he told his mother  that he wanted "great, big boobies" for his bday too.  Well, since I look like Dolly Parton and since I'm in every one of those photos, he'll be getting both of his wishes.  I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the box arrives tomorrow!  My dil in nervous, I think b/c I told her that he's getting everything he wanted!

I may have solved my computer problem, cross your fingers.  Office Depot couldn't find anything wrong with my PC only that I  needed a new surge protector.  I bought a new printer last week with the money I made serving lunch to the woman next door.  They had a truck load sale on and I saved $60.  Hopefully, I'll get all put together this weekend and then, I should be able to blog more.

I sold half of my TBR pile to a guy at the flea market.  Hate to see them go but even at 20  cents/each, the money will go towards a/c repairs (which I hope won't be needed).

Hope you all have a good weekend.  Sorry I was so long-winded.  I do miss everyone!

Trudy
