Well, it has been a crazy weekend.  The kids finished school on Thursday, so I took the afternoon off for the end of year picnic.  Then it was baseball games and a neighborhood party.  I was off on Friday, so some of the kid's friends came over for a playdate, then we went to a picnic at the park, then that night we had tickets to a Brewers Game.  The next day we went to the beach, but I don't know if I was dehydrated from the day before or if the flu hit me again, but after abou 2 hours, we headed home and I was sick all night.  Yuck. Maggie had her fly-up ceremony the next day for girl scouts (became a Junior) and then we had promised to go to a friend's house, I felt okay, so I did it all, but definately feel like I need a day of rest.  As such, I got very limited reading done.  Am reading an Amelia Peabody book - The Last Camel died at Noon.  Today is a nice normal day, but tomorrow afternoon, I am taking Maggie to sleepaway camp for three nights, so it will just be me, Luke and Mike for a couple of days, hopefully things will slow down abit.

Sandi - Sorry about all the issues at work and home.  Congrats on the robe - love when I get a bargain - and the Kindle Fire, got to love having your gift taken care of.

Mary - Sounds like everyone had fun at the game.  My kids love going to the Brewers, we try and make 2 or 3 games a year.  Lots of fun.  Hope Don had a good bday.

DonnaM - Sounds like your trip is going great. I love Harry and David, but have a hard time paying for their stuff.  I use to work in an office where we would occasionally get stuff dropped off during the holidays.  Great present.

Amanda - Ouch for David, does he have to do a lot of overnighters, must be hard.

DonnaH- I enjoyed the Born In series, although the Born In Shame book was my least favorite.  I think I liked the Born In Fire best.  As for book covers, they are annoying.  My favorites are the outdoor scenes or something innocous.

I read my Dad book last week - The Paternity Promise by Merline Lovelace.  It was about an abused woman who had a child with the hero.  (He was not the abuser, she had escaped her husband) She died and her cousin tried to give him the child, but got caught up.  They feel in love.  I didn't mind the cousin part as oddly enough it didn't feel icky as the original couple wasn't together long.  What I didn't like was neither seemed very committed to the child.  So in a way, not the best Dad book.  May see if I can find a better book this month.
