Thursday I was going to work a long day because of our preschool graduation. I worked several hours, took a break. Decided that maybe I didn't want to wear the skirt and shirt I had picked for graduation so ended up at Dress Barn, and totally splurged! I got several dresses and shrugs. They were having something of a sale, and since all the dresses were sleeveless, and I don't do sleeveless I needed the shrugs to go over them. Here are a link or two to my new dresses

Couldn't find a link for any of the other dresses! What a bummer. This one isn't even the exact dress, but it's close! I'm not sure where I'll wear the dresses, but since I had exactly 2 I figured it couldn't hurt to add a few to my closet. The two I have are both black...one is my fancy cocktail dress that I had to buy a few years ago to attend a dinner where Mike was among the honorees, and the other is also black and is the dress I bought for my mom's funeral.
After the shopping spree I went to Salt Grass Steakhouse with a friend for an early dinner. It's a tad on the expensive side, but why not finish the splurge! LOL!!! Then we came back to school where she helped me finish prepping for graduation and took pictures during graduation for me.
Here's a not so great picture of me presenting diplomas. The little girl in the picutre has been with us since she was an infant, and she was our last official graduate this year. Next year she'll be off to kindergarten, and as her family is considering moving I think we'll be losing her before too long.
The little girl in this photo has also been with us since birth, and doesn't live in our area either. I'm really going to miss both of these girls!
I have been a huge book hoarder and with the possibility of Richard moving in with us, and the world moving towards electronic books I have decided that I will start getting rid of my print books. I've been spending more time dejunking them than I have been actually reading. We have a store called Half Price Books, which doesn't pay much for books, but does give cash, so I've been taking them there every time I have several boxes. Then I've been taking that cash and buying an Amazon g.c. so I can buy an ebook or two, or perhaps a DVD. Of course there are some books that I'm continuing to hoarde, so it will be interesting to see how it ends up in the long run.
There is a slight chance that Richard is not going to move in. I won't be holding my breath until I know for sure, but I sure do hate the feeling of being in limbo! He is attempting to start looking at day care more in his direction than in mine in case he doesn't move in, but for the moment he's living with us part time.

Friday I had the day off. I took a nap! I also ran several errands and can't remember what all I really did, but I probably wasn't as productive as I should have been. I know for sure I wasn't productive on Saturday or Sunday. I had Monday off as well. I sent off some boxes that I needed to get out of my way, and still need to send one more. I gave a bunch of books to a friend, and visited with her for a bit. Then I ran to the house because I forgot something. Hit the used book store to get rid of more books, and then went to Fresh Fiction for a few minutes. Met a friend at the mall and ended up splurging one more time. I have been really wanting this robe that was $50. Way too much for me! I had just last week told Mike that he could give it to me for my birthday at the end of the summer. My friend wanted to go to this store, and I went to pet the robe one more time, and voila it was on sale for $20! I of course just had to buy it! It's just so soft and comfy. The only problem with it is it is just a tad shorter than I would really like, but for the softness of it I'll overlook it's length!
Ok....so I've dominated this way too long! Hope everyone is staying cool. Trudy, any AC news? Anyone have spare rain send it to me!
Sandi
