Monday, much cooler! 6/18/2012

Good Morning Everyone,

Glad to see all the new posts & the pictures.  The above picture is at my brother's house looking out from the deck to the little pond that maybe almost dried up by now!  The flag blew into the frame as I snapped the picture.  I kind of like the affect.  As you can see it was beautiful & green at my brother's.  He has 13 acres which is mostly just in its natural state except for areas around the house & barn.  It is very serene & pretty where he is, also way out of town which I would not care for but I love visiting there.  At night the stars are incredible because he is so far from any town or city.

Sandi, thanks for sharing a picture of Travis.  He looks very content.  The book covers you posted are both books I have read & enjoyed.  I need to get a copy of the second book in Jaci Burton's series.  The Roxanne St. Claire book was a change from her other books but very good.  Hope I remember how to post the covers next time I want to try!

Margie, sounds like Gavin is a water baby!  Or maybe I should say boy.  I will cast my vote for swimming lessons for him also.  I really can't swim which makes me realize how important it is for everyone to learn.  I can paddle a bit & float that is all.  I don't do well at all in water over my head & despite my many swim lessons never learned to tread water.  It seems the younger they learn the better.

Cady,  I'm glad to hear that Maggie enjoyed her sleep away.  I hope they will enjoy their summer classes.  Where are you going on vacation?  If you have mentioned it before I don't remember.  I also look forward to going away but am glad to get back home.  Some of that comes now from being older.  The trips seem to be more tiring which I hate to admit to!!  Glad to hear you had a nice relaxing Sunday.  That is the best.

Mary, I am sorry to hear you have been not been feeling well.  Hopefully you will keep improving.  I've have not had any experience with gout so cannot imagine what it must be like.  Other than the unusual rash, but not a rash, that I recently had the only problem has been allergy which hasn't been to bad, more annoying!!   One day I did have a rather nasty headache but thankfully it went away.  Not just sure what caused it.  Your grandkids are probably having so much fun with their new swing set.  It is so nice to have one for them.  They will love seeing you & showing it off.

I am reading a library book that is due tomorrow.  I think I can get it finished so I don't have to renew.  The name of it is Dropped Names by Frank Langella, rather different but interesting.  It is a non fiction.  I will be glad to finish it so I can choose another of my many TBR books.  While unpacking my car when I got home I found two Blaze books in the trunk that I bought in March!!!  That was unexpected.  I can't believe that I forgot they were there.  I hope I am not repeating myself.

DonnaH, congratulations on the good job in school by your grandkids.  I love it also when mine do well.  They all seem to have done well in getting good brains.  I was never a good student so love seeing my daughters & grandkids do well.

For now I will say good bye.  I don't want to get to boring!  Here is a picture of my brother's dogs, Megan & Barney.  They keep you entertained.  I was sitting in my sister in laws chair, the only one they are allowed in, so they sat with me most of the time vying for my attention & space for themselves!

Happy Monday, Happy reading,
Donna M
