Tuesday

Cady, sorry you don't feel good.  I wasn't feeling well on Sunday, and ended up taking two naps. Brian got it late Sunday night/early Monday morning. He ended up not going to school yesterday, and going to to the Dr for a shot instead.  I hope he feels up to school today as it's summer, and they go FAST!  Is this the first time Maggie has gone to sleep away camp?  I don't think so, but just dont' really remember.  Has Luke ever been?

My sister and I both married a Mike and my brother is Mark.  When my sister's oldest was little and I asked him to get Mike he said yours or mine?  I said mine, because if I wanted his I would have asked him to get his dad, and not called him by name.  Alan is another popular name in our family, but for the middle name rather than the first.  Mike's brother who died several years back had Alan for a middle name, his oldest nephew does, my yonugest nephew does, and so does Richard!

Speaking of names...did I ever tell you about when Richard had to get his permit.  He was filling out the paperwork and misspelled his middle name.  He spelled it as Allen, and it's Alan.  I guess I just assumed at some point we had taught him, or he automatically knew.  He didn't and since there's a town in Texas named Allen he decided his name was spelled the same way.  What a mess!  We had a hard time getting the people to change the spelling to the correct one.  Can you imagine...16 and not knowing how to spell your name!?!?!? Only my child!  Because of that we made sure that Brian knew how to spell his!

I haven't done much reading.  I am listening to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and enjoying it so much more than The Order of the Phoenix.  Tonight is book club.  I have to stop and get some chips and dips to take.  I was somewhat considering stopping this morning, but somehow I didn't realize how late it was when I left the house....5:30! So I didn't take the time to stop.
