Hi Everyone
Just a quick hello to you all. I caught up with all the posts but made no notes so lets see what I remember...
Sandi, What a cute class you have. That has to be sad to see them go after so many years with them. Congratulations on your Kindle Fire win!
Trudy, I hope you get good news from this new guy checking out your air unit.
DonnaH, I'm glad you are enjoying the Julie Miller book. I read all her Harlequin Intrigue. My favorite from Nora's Born series was Fire. I enjoyed all the books but Shame was also my least favorite.
Mary, Gavin doesn't like to try new foods. It is really hard to get him to try new things. He will just spit them out. Sometimes it takes several attempts to give him a new food before he will at least take a bite!
Cady, That is nice that Maggie enjoyed her camp. Sometimes that causes so much stress...go or don't go. I remember when my sister was in 1st or 2nd grade there was some kind of camp thing that the kids had to go to. It was an overnight thing. Forget it! She cried with so much stress about having to go. My mom just kept her home. I'm not sure why it was mandatory and I don't know if they still do it but I never had to do something like that in public school.
DonnaM, It sounds like you are having a really good time. It was pretty hot here these last two days but I am so thankful this house has air.
We went to a kid birthday party yesterday. Gavin took his swim stuff and my sister got in the pool with him. He was so excited to get in. It is one of those above ground pools and he was climbing the ladder ready to jump in. Scared me so much. I had to keep pulling him down as my sister wasn't dressed yet and he was wanting to get in NOW! He really needs to have swim lessons because this kid just loves water and has no concept of danger. He had a lot of fun and fell asleep at 5 when we got home. Then he woke up at 2:30 in the morning and wouldn't go back to sleep until 4!
I finished Crystal Gardens by Amanda Quick and I enjoyed it. I also finally read book three of the Christie Craig trilogy. It was really good. I will read more by this author. She is very witty and the stories are really entertaining. Now I am reading If You See Her by Shiloh Walker. It is book two in a trilogy. The library doesn't have book 1 but I decided to try this one anyway. At first I felt a bit lost with all the characters but now I'm familiar. But there is a lot going on and it would have been better to be able to read the first book. I have book three before I start Witness by Nora. I just picked it up from the library yesterday.
I haven't read my Fathers book yet. I thought I'd have my library hold book but it hasn't come in so I think I will have to go shopping soon. This month is flying by.
I hope you all have a great Monday.
Margie :)
