Hi guys!
I have been reading posts but have not posted. I have been nursing a sore ankle all week. I assume it is a gout flare-up. I have all the symptoms. Once I started taking Aleve regularly this week it started improving. Problem is it makes me spacey, sleepy and upsets my stomach. I am feeling much better today but still have swelling. I have done next to nothing all week. Don has been a big help. Anyway I am feeling more like myself today. I got a lot of reading done when I could concentrate. I finished the Maisie Dobbs book which was very good but sad at times. I read the last book I got from Tell Harlequin pretty quickly. I did the survey for it last night and afterwards removed my name from their mailing list. I am pretty much distancing myself from Harlequin.
I am now reading Fever by Joan Swan. It is her debut novel. I won it from Fresh Fiction. It is romantic suspense with a touch of paranormal. It is very good so far.
Don just got a call from Karen and the kids for Father's day. They want us to visit real soon to show us their new swing set. It was installed earlier in the week and was a surprise. They had no idea. We will probable make a short visit later in the week.
Just a few short notes:
Donna M--glad you are home safely.
Donna H--congrats to your grandkids who won the honors.
Sandi--it seems like just recently we were talking about the little ones and their eating habits. Jacob's have really improved recently and I noticed he ate more than Lauren at Don's birthday dinner. Texas sounds much the same as PA with school attendance and the school year.
Cady--I hope Maggie enjoyed her camping experience.
Trudy--as always it is good to see you here. I hope your a/c problems have improved. That is a shame about the Celtic Thunder. Which one is Ryan?
So I hope I have made sense tonight. :-) Have a good week everyone! We are expecting our first heat wave this week.
Mary
