Donna, sounds like you're having a nice trip.  I'm glad you're getting to see so many people.

Mary, glad you had a good time at the ball game even if it didn't turn out the way you might have wanted.  An amazing number of my friends love baseball, but I don't particularly care for it at all!

Yesterday was an awful day!  Everyone on my staff needs to have 24 hours a training a year.  I have presented a way for them to get it for the cost of $180 for 14 hours.  A bunch agreed and even signed letters to the fact, but when I tried to collect the $20 from this paycheck they're balking at the expense.  Fine...I refunded the money I have collected and told them they better find a place to get the training on their own, because without it they don't have a job.  It's going to be interesting to see the turnover that I have in staff.

Ellen and John have started a bonus program and today I am passing out a memo with revisions to it.  The revision says that staff members must have a minimum of 2 hours of accredited training a month, so as to be on track to get the 24 they need for a year in order to qualify for a bonus, as well as attending a staff meeting as called by a management team member, since so many of them think they don't have to attend those.  We'll see how that flies.

There's also problems at home, and I'm just tired of a life filled with drama whether or my own making or that of someone else's doing.

I went to bed at 7:30 and woke a few times, but basically slept until the alarm went off at 4.

Sorry to be a downer but wanted to vent somewhere "safe".
