Happy Sunday ladies!
DonnaM -- Hope you have a wonderful trip. Will miss your pics while you are gone. Glad the chocolate survived the trip. Nothing worse than wasted good chocolate! Will be looking forward to hearing how your trip was. Bummer you didn't get a pick with your gf's. Hopefully next time.
DonnaH -- Glad you had a great trip. Will there be pics posted? Funny about the small world. It does work out that way sometimes. My dh and I graduated a year apart from the same school, and I knew his older sister and a cousin (grade ahead of me) but didn't meet him till three years after I graduated. You just never know.
Sandi -- The ladies are right - a zoo pass is a good deal. I just renewed ours for the year. They always have a new theme there (this year is the Lorax), so it makes it fun to go. The girls still like to go and we always end up with another child, or two, with us. Elijah should have a great time. I did finish the Nora book. I liked it, but it was a very mellow book. Mostly an in-between for the firsts and third. No doubt, Hope and Ryder's story will be full of sparks! Can't wait to read it.
Cady -- How did the baseball game go? Too funny that he was excited to wear everything, including the cup - lol! And definitely a lesson learned with the car keys. I'm lucky and my car won't lock if the door is open and the keys are in the ignition. A good deal for me, as I have locked my keys in before - a number of times. Been a long time though and the girls never did (thank god). How was your visit with your friend in Chicago? How far of a ride is it for you?
Trudy -- So sorry the a/c problem isn't getting better. That totally sucks. We had the a/c on last week, as the weekend was in the 90's - ugh. Back to the 70's this weekend and beautiful (after some rain Friday night). Only in high 60's low 70's this week - another plus!
Mary -- Sorry the Phils didn't win for you yesterday. Watched most of it on tv. My stepdad and stepbrother went today - not a better outcome. Hope you had a great time and the weather was beautiful.
Margie -- Gavin's water story reminds me of my niece. When she was growing up, she always wanted to be in water - didn't matter the source. We lived on the floor above them and David and my bil worked together and every morning they dropped Jenna off at daycare. Every morning she's ask David to come up for a cookie and if I wasn't quick enough, she would jump in the shower with me. I learned to get in way before or after they left. The child is now 18 and still loves the water, and gets a shower a few times a day often. Some things never totally change.
My memorial day was good, went to Jen's for a bbq. Didn't do much else otherwise, especially since it was hot and humid. Didn't do too much this week and on Thursday, I went to go for a walk with Amelia and sprained my ankle. Just walking, didn't trip, not sure what I did. Was totally nauseus and dizzy, no fun at all. It is still swollen and is now discoloring, but I can walk on it. Trying to keep it up as much as possible, even at work. First time I've sprained the left ankle, sprained the right twice before - at 14 and 19. Would have been a great weekend for the zoo, but not with this. Maybe I'll be better to go next weekend.
I finished the second in Nora's Inn Boonsboro trilogy. I liked it but as I said to Sandi, I found it very mellow. The next book should be awesome and I love the ghost in it. Not sure what I'm reading next. Have to find a book for our challenge this month, so that might be it when I decide on one.
Ok, getting ready to go out for ice cream. My niece, Jenna, works at Friendlys, so we go occasionally to visit her while she is working. We never say no to ice cream - lol! Hope everyone has a good Monday:)
Amanda
