My day went pretty good today. Hardy spent the better part of the day working for his brother, so I tooled around town by myself. Got a whole bunch of errands done that Hardy just hates having to drive around doing. Stopped in at the weight-loss clinic, went to the library, went to Walmart, went to the mall. . . Bought a new scale at Walmart. It does everything but eat my meals for me. Measures body fat and water, plus BMI, and bone mass.
I also looked at a Kindle Fire today, and a Kobo, and a couple of cheaper brands. I was soooooo tempted to pick up the Kindle, but I can't get library books on it. That's the only thing that's stopping me.
Cady, your kids are already finished school for the year??? When do they start again? Ours go right till the 29th of June. But then they're forever getting days off for this, that, and the other thing during the year, which have to be made up at the end.
Born in Ice still isn't here. I'm only about 3/4 done Born in Shame, and I do agree with you, Born in Fire is -- so far -- the better book. Though I have trouble with very domineering H's, which they all seem to be.
I hope you're feeling better by now, and your family, too. {:-)
Sandi, more name stuff. . . When I gave our pastor our youngest son's name for his Baptismal Certificate, I told him it was Alvin Hardy. My husband's name is Hardy Alvin. Our oldest son is Darren Hardy, and Al's name is actually Alvin Timothy, named after my brother, who is Peter Timothy, named after my dad. (And I was older than 16 when I did it, too. . . )
Mary, I totally agree! Sometimes I wonder if the people who make the covers even read the books, because so often there is something wrong. I KNOW the authors have no say (or very little!) in what the covers are like, or even what the book is called, for that matter. That is SO wrong!!!
Your "dad" book sounds like it was really good! I enjoyed mine, too, after I tried about 3 different ones. {:-o
Have a good Wednesday, everyone. {:-)
