2nd post on Saturday, April 14...
Look at this! I did it! This picture was taken in 2010 on a trip to Oregon. The plane I'm standing by is the same type my dad flew in in WWII. There were a limited amount of pictures to choose from which is why this isn't more current. I'll have to find out why. These planes go all around the country making appearances. I just happened to be there when they were in Medford. My brother knew about them coming it was really fun seeing them. The plane is a B-24 Liberator. My dad was a bombardier his favorite position was the ball turret which is very small. I learned more about his service while viewing the planes.
The photography hike did take place. It was fun, interesting & I really needed the outing. We were on Healdsburg Ridge where I have been before but we took a trail I had not been on before. The photographer leading the hike was young (25-30 maybe), very helpful, took time to chat, answered questions, was encouraging to all of us. I enjoyed myself as none of my friends have any interest in photography. I had no idea when I bought my camera that I would enjoy photography as a hobby. When I'm out & about I almost always have my camera with me. I've learned that you never know when you might see something you want to take a picture of. For me it is really fun. It also makes you stop to really look & see.
Okay I've chatted on long enough. I'm going to go watch a movie.
Happy reading, take care,
Donna M
