Good Afternoon,

Here is more of that fallen tree that I posted yesterday.  As you can see it was a very large tree.  I couldn't get the roots & much of the tree in the lens together!  They are big!!  I'm glad you are all enjoying my pictures.  Thanks a bunch.  One of the reasons I love this area so much is the diversity.  In less than 100 miles I can be at the coast, in the city (San Francisco to those that don't know "the city" means San Francisco), two National Parks, the Redwoods.  Close by there are more wineries than you can shake a stick at!  There weather is mostly moderate but we are heating up!!  I was so happy when it was 65-70 but sunny.  Oh well!

Sandi,  I was hoping you would share more about your book club with us.  Didn't you have a chat with Robyn Carr last night?  I'm so excited the third book for 2012 will be out soon.  I just love her Virgin River series.   How far is San Antonio from you?   Hopefully you will enjoy some time with Richard.

I'm still reading my library book.  I checked out the RITA nominees last night.  I've already read one book on the list.  Is our "challenge" just reporting what we read or would everyone like a review?

My timer is telling me to go take my clothes out of the washer & put them in the dryer.

I'll leave you with one more Redwood picture.  Have a great day.
As you can see this tree survived fire.  These trees are so amazing.  The fallen ones encourage new life as they deteriorate on the forest floor.  The park we were in this day was better than being in church.  It is Mother Nature & God's own cathedral.
Happy reading,
Donna M
