another new color

Trying another new color tonight. Not much to report today. I did finish Texas Baby Sanctuary by Linda Conrad. I usually like her books but this one was just ok. The HRS books are a lot shorter now and I think it really takes away from the story--the author doesn't have enough space to develop it well. This is the start of a new series for her and I might continue--not sure yet.

Donna M--keep those pictures coming! As for the Rita challenge. Starting in Jan. our little group was doing a different challenge each month just for fun. For April it is to read one of the books nominated for a Rita award this year. Totally voluntary, just a fun thing.

Donna H--I hear you about cooking/baking. I used to do a lot more baking. I still do cook several days a week. Some days I just don't want to but Don is pretty good about just making sandwiches or occasionally a dinner out. Glad you are enjoying Birthright.

Cady--I thought you would like Hot Zone. I read the first book Cover Me. I was good as well but I liked HZ better. I really liked the h/H relationship.

I sent Margie (from eharl.) an email asking if she wanted to join us here and she does so I sent Sandi her email to invite her here. Hope to see her soon.

I started reading a new book this afternoon called Haunting Beauty by Erin Quinn. This is the first book in her Mists of Ireland series. I will let you know how I like it. So far in is intriguing.

Mary
