Finally I can post again! I downloaded some updates for Microsoft on Sat. evening and the computer has been wanky since then. Looks like things are settling down again. Sigh...
We did go shopping on Sat. We went to Toys R Us for a gift for Jake and Don enjoyed that part. He loves toy stores and he is the one who found the perfect gift. Also, a new JoAnn Fabrics store opened last week and we went there for some notions for me and he needed some canvas for a project. I am thrilled to have a new fabric/craft store here again! Didn't go our for dinner but the shopping trip was a success.
We did not get the snow they got in western PA (actually near Somerset) where they got 18 inches! We did get rain here and the cold temps. Crazy--last Monday it was 90 and today it is in the 40s.
I am enjoying the pictures being posted. Please continue!
Donna M--glad you enjoyed Hot Zone. It is one of my favorite books by Catherine Mann. I really liked Hugh and Amelia together.
Donna H--I agree with you about Donna Alward's books. She is a wonderful writer who has a way with difficult emotional issues. I have read How A Cowboy Stole Her Heart and loved it. I have most of her books but still have some of them I haven't read yet. Glad you liked Birthright.
Cady--usually Don is difficult to shop with but as I mentioned Sat. went well. He does not like shopping for clothes or shoes however.
Amanda--congrats to your Flyers. I am not a fan but my dsil and his brothers are. The Phils are struggling right now. It is hard to watch.
Trudy--I would be venting too about the cost and the intrusion of fixing the a/c.
I finished reading Haunting Beauty. I did enjoy it but it was baffling at times and you really have to pay attention to all that is going on. It did have a great ending though which was hard to predict. I will read the next book in the series because it is about the twin brother of the heroine from HB. I am now reading a book I found at the library in the p/b section called Girls' Night by Stef Ann Holm. I've never read her but it is a fun book. I needed that after HB which was very intense.
I also finished making a pair of shorts for Jacob. I had planned to make him some pjs but he told me "actually, mom mom, I need shorts." Actually is one of his new favorite words. :-)
I hope you all have a great week and happy reading!
Mary
