I should have stayed home today. I'd have accomplished more, that's for sure! This old guy, the one who's car we were towing, came along. Which meant I had to sit in the back. The truck is a big old diesel, so there was lots of room, but I couldn't reach the cd player to put in any of my music, and the old geezer yammered the whole way there, and the whole way back. I was ready to yell!
Cady, my floor steamer is a Smart Living Steam Mop. It can be used on all types of floors: wood, laminate, lino, ceramic tile, and carpet. I've thought of getting my books at Walmart as I'd get a 25% discount then, but they don't always have the ones I want.
I'm all for the RITA challenge -- I've even got my book ready to go. It's next after I finish the Nora Roberts one I'm reading now.
Love that picture of your family. You're a very nice looking family!
Sandi, I cook fairly regularly, but if I should bake something some day, Hardy would probably fall over dead from heart failure. I used to bake something just about every day. Not any more!
Donna M, your pictures are GREAT! I love the one of the sailing ship. I wonder how many miles of rope is on one of those things. . .
I think steam mops are fairly new. This is the first time I've seen them. This one is very easy to use, and I desperately needed something for my floors. I have carpet, lino, and hardwood, so I was very happy to find one machine that will do them all. I got a hand-held steamer also in the deal. I'll figure out how to use it one of these days.
I got half my NR book read while riding in the truck today, but it's a hard-cover, so is very heavy to hold for long periods of time, and the truck was so rough that I had to hold it up to keep it still enough to read.
Mary, I am liking Birthright very much! It took me a little to get into it, as the first few pages were not of the H and h meeting, but were of another couple. It wasn't until about page 45 that the H and h showed up. But now that I'm further along in the book, and have figured out how everyone fits together, now it's fine, and I'm loving it.
Trudy, no, I'm not painting. . . I'm waiting for the paint to flow out of the cans and onto my walls by itself. {:-o Like yours, my paint has been sitting there for 3 years already.
A sinus infection? Oh, you poor thing! I'd almost sooner have another baby. . .
Oh my goodness! I've been sitting here trying to figure out how you'd get the tubing out of there without having to jackhammer your whole floor up. Yikes!!!
Okay. I found a picture that I'm going to TRY to download here. It is of our family the day of my youngest daughter's wedding, and if you look closely, you can see the train just going by. This is in our back yard, so you can see how close to the tracks we live.
Well, that was an exercise in futility. I can't remember how to get the URL.
