April 21st 12:38 a.m.

Hi Ladies

I've been reading post all day...taking peeks at work...trying to catch up with everyone.  Now to remember what I wanted to say to everyone!

Sandi, Thank you for setting this up and helping everyone to keep in touch.  I love the pretty color (purple is my favorite).  I'm sure you are going to enjoy your grandson living with you.  I love living with Gavin and watching him grow up.

Mary, Thanks for remembering me. I haven't been on eHarlequin for a while so I appreciate that.

Donna, I love your pictures.  I remember a long time ago my parents took us for a day trip.  We just drove past SF and headed towards the Redwoods.  We'd stop here and there and get down and enjoy the sight of them.  So beautiful.  So tall.  We kept driving just enjoying the day and didn't really pay attention to time.  We found ourselves miles from the Oregon border!  Turned around and figured we would take a short cut and get closer to the coast...but my dad didn't know his way.  It got dark and we were lost in the woods.  It was pretty scary.  Maybe it wouldn't have been in the day but at night it seemed like we'd never see lights of the city again.  Some how we ended up at Bodega Bay but couldn't find a hotel so kept driving until we found something in another town.  We always said we would take that trip by Bodega Bay in the day so we could try to figure out where we had been lost but we never did.  Keep the pics coming.

Amanda,  Your Snoopy tattoo is so cute.

Donna, I think it was you who mentioned James Garner.  I've always thought he was so handsome.
A bunch of Doris Day movies came out and I recorded Move Over Darling with him.  I love that movie.  It is so funny.

Cady,  Your kids are getting so big.  You all look great.  I love Disney at Christmas time.  I haven't been to Disneyland in several years but my sister and I are planning to go at the end of July when I get my time off at work.  Gavin just turned three in Feb and he won't remember much but he'll have a good time in the moment.

There have been a lot of things going on these past few month that kept me very busy and is part of the reason I haven't been on eHarlequin lately.  But things are finally getting normal again.  Actually, they are getting great.

I think I mentioned that my sister and I rented a house back in Feb last year.  Well, after six months the landlord gave us notice...his home was going to go into foreclosure.  We loved living there and it was so stressful trying to find a new place to live.  Plus my dad was getting very difficult for my mom to take care of.  He needs help lifting from bed to wheelchair etc.  She is so small and just couldn't do it anymore as he was not helping the way he used to.  We were all going to find a place for all of us but it was not working out.

Out time came up in September but he said just stay until the end of October.  My sister's divorce has just become final and we started wondering if  maybe the two of us could purchase a home together.  It seemed very unlikely but we just wanted to have a place of our own that we would not have to worry about moving again.  Both of us knew it was very unlikely that we would be pre-approved but figured we'd go for it.  What did we have to lose?

We were so excited to get pre-approved and started looking at houses.  We wanted to stay in our town and there is not a lot of inventory in our price range.  We put a bid on two homes but others got them.  Then one day I was watching the realty site online and a house came on the market.  A short sale and it didn't show a picture of the house but it was in our price.  I emailed the realtor and said we want to see it first thing....we joked about making a bid now to get it.  She said we could do that and if we didn't like it, could back out.   So we did.  We made the bid without ever seeing the house.  Then, when we saw it....it was the right size and nice neighborhood.  It is on a cul de sac and has a really nice big back yard with storage units and room to expand or a pool if we wanted in the huge side yard.  Others came that day to see the house too but I know a lot of people were praying for us because we got it.  It needed new flooring though out (renters had a dog that used the carpet) and paint in every room but otherwise it was in very nice condition.

So we finally moved in mid February and we are still working on putting stuff away.  Getting all settled in.  Our parents live here with us and I'm glad because I see how much older they are getting and need so much help.  We've been fixing up the back yard with plants and it is looking so nice now.  Gavin loves watering the flowers ....and dirt and cement.  He just loves getting wet!

So...That is what has been keeping me so busy and just when I figure I have time to post again on eHarlequin...it all changes.   So thanks again for staring this blog because I've known you all for so many years and would really miss not keeping in touch.

Sorry so long but had to explain it all....Night!
Take care
Margie :)
