This old barn is out one of my favorite back road drives. I like going up this road as it is up above Warm Springs Dam/Lake Sonoma. I worked for a company that did soil testing for the Corps of Engineers the year the dam was finished. Each time I go I see something I did not notice before. This picture was taken on Christmas Day. I know to some that might be a strange day to be out taking pictures but my daughter was working which means we celebrated the day before! Remember she works in a hospital. Anyway, it is a great time to be out & about as the wineries are all closed so there are no tourists & very little traffic anywhere. I'll post more later from that little excursion!
Amanda I love the picture you posted. Great mood from the lighting of the sun behind the cloud. I was wondering about you since you hadn't posted for awhile. Hope your computer doesn't freeze again. After watching news this morning I was wondering if you or Mary got any of the spring snow in Pennsylvania. We were having really warm weather but thank heavens Mother Nature cooled it down. Today is foggy or overcast, sometimes it is hard to say which!! We have some rain coming in on Wednesday & Thursday. Great job on the price of your daughter's dress. I do love a good bargain. At most of today's prices even $25 is a good buy.
Donna H, the Dessert & Tea sounds lovely. I hope it turns out well. I'm not surprised that people would drive 30 miles for a lunch. I drive over to the coast to go for a walk!! What kind of a mural are you painting for your granddaughter?
I finished reading Catherine Mann's book Hot Zone. It was very good. I liked how she developed a love story between two people with unhappy pasts during a natural disaster. Now I have decided to read one of the books from my trip to the library sale. It is an older Linda Howard book. The sale is great for older books or ones you missed somehow when they came out. There are several new books due to come out by some of my favorite authors. It seems they tend to come in bunches!
Nothing much new or different with me. I'll sign off for now. Here is another picture to leave you with. It was taken the same day as the other one, in fact from the same place. You can see that old barn in the background. The light was beautiful.
