I never got back here last night. I had a lot of posts to catch up on today!
Margie--glad you made it here. Come back soon.
Cady--you are welcome for the recommendation. I must have been a librarian in a former life!
I have volunteered in libraries since I was in elementary school. I read a lot and read a lot about books. If I hadn't become a teacher I probably would have become a librarian. The head librarian at our library is my age and we share a lot of the same reading interests. She is always recommending new mystery series. The Gaslight books are popular but I had never read one. Now I will!
Sandi--I hope you enjoyed your trip with Richard to San Antonio. Is your throat feeling better?
Donna M--the Redwood tree pictures are great. The arboretum we went to with the kids had a dwarf Redwood tree. It was large but nothing like your in California. I enjoy Emilie Richards books. I have not read one in some time. Too many books and finding new authors sometimes takes us away from our favorite authors. I go on Facebook everyday and follow my favorite authors on there. I don't go on many of the blogs--usually only when one of the authors puts up a link to a blog they have written. I was sad too about Dick Clark's passing. I remember when Bandstand was in Philly.
Trudy--we are supposed to have a rainy weekend also with much needed rain.
We are planning a shopping trip this weekend since it is going to be cold and rainy. That is the only time I can get Don to go shopping. But there are things he needs. We also have to go toy shopping for Jacob's birthday. His party is next weekend. Other than that I will be sewing and reading. I am still reading Haunting Beauty which is good but very different. It is a time travel with a twist but there is a lot happening and still I don't know everything that is going on. (The hero and heroine are somewhat in the dark also!)
Have a good weekend everyone!
Mary
