Good Morning Everyone,
What a cute picture in our header. Sandi, did you ad that? I really like it. Thanks.
Donna H, the mural sounds wonderful & a lot of work. You must be very talented. I hope you will be able to share a picture of it with us when it is done. I love the mountains also having lived my whole life on the west coast there have always been mountains in the distance. Mt. St. Helena is kind of a joke as a mountain as it isn't very high. I grew up seeing the Siskiyou's, the Cascade's and as an adult have seen the Sierra's, the Wasatch Mountains & some of the Rockies. When I first moved to this area people would mention mountains & I just couldn't see any. We do have some coastal range in the opposite direction of the picture I posted but they aren't very high. The Donna Alward book sounds good. I think I have read a couple of hers but she is not one of my "must read" authors.
The book I am reading now is one I picked up at the library sale on Saturday. It is an older Linda Brown book that is very good, hard to put down. I'll say more after I finish it.
It is cloudy, humid & looks like it could start raining any minute. Due to the humidity it is warm & due to the cloud cover dark! I am feeling a need to go buy some books that just came out. They are all favorite authors. I've been restraining myself from spending money as I just got my monthly money last week. Getting paid once a month is still a challenge. I try to keep a stash on hand for those months I don't manage well!!! Sometimes there is just to much month & not enough cash. Oh, sorry to sound like "poor me".
Just for fun here is a picture.
This is such a famous landmark I'm sure I don't have to tell you what it is. If you look closely your can see a portion of the Bay Bridge at the left of the picture, sort of under the Golden Gate. I took this from the Marin Headlands when I took the grandkids from Oregon there. As you can see it was typical summer with some fog in that area. You can also see a small portion of San Francisco. The Golden Gate is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. It is slightly older than I am!!!
I will close for now. I hope you all have a wonderful day with time to read.
Donna M
